Gentle posts for gentle folks

@Rossana
You had a daschund (sp?) .. such sweet little dogs. My late aunt had one, named Tippy.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend, and Happy Mother's Day 💐
Today, we plan to go on a "dog-spotting" drive around the city.
Yes, I had 2 mini dachshunds. One female, black and tan; one chocolate male. They were not related but got along really well. They were very funny! They both died of old age but I still miss them so much! Fortunately, we have a lot of well behaved dogs living in our community, so I get to see them and pet them everyday.
Happy Mother's Day to all my friends. I hope you will enjoy your special day!

Good Morning, Kaila and Friends. 🤗 :coffee:🦝🌻

I put that racoon up accidentally, but decided to leave him because he's kind of cute and I like the way he just slipped himself in there.

I'm very happy to report that my hips are starting to feel better. :) I've brought my treadmill time down to 20/25 minutes and that is helping. Now I just need to work some yoga in and I'll be golden. 🧘‍♂️

@CallMeKate, I will work for chocolate! ;)

EDIT: Hope everyone is feeling good this morning! (I can't believe I left that out! 😬 )

more difficult than I expected, and it came with bad news about several of my teeth
Oh gosh, I am sorry to hear this!
I know it;s rough but I know you'll get through it....you've got Moxie!

Hope your day is smooth.

K-Posse, have a nice weekend. 💕💕💕
My DGS will be visiting today and also my son later on.

Rainy here still. Basements flooding in some areas.

Hello all, and thank you for the encouragements in each of your posts above!🤩🥰

It's challenging for me to find enough Moxie, (as mentioned above 😉)
within myself, in order to handle all of what I'm doing, and what I'm continually trying to do.
I appreciate the ongoing support, here, more than I can express.

Still trying to do whatever I can possibly do for dh, while I try to work at trying to get my own functions more improvements, and then, while additional tasks and goals and appointments, must be added.🤨🥸😖

I learned on Thursday, that I will need to have 4 extractions (in 3 upcoming visits to an oral surgeon)
and lots of work on multiple teeth, that I've got left.
Those visits take time and energy and stamina and strength, away from my daily needs, and from my other appointments.
I'm not at all happy to have to cancel any P.t. sessions, but I am unable to do such large things, in consecutive days.

I will definitely cancel as few as possible!!!

Well, I just have to take one step at a time, and try to enjoy the small pleasures of life, that I can notice in between!

We're getting the same extra heavy rains that @RadishRose mentioned, but the wild birds are at the feeder.
Lots of goldfinches today @Medusa 🙂

And an adult male cardinal was just now, feeding seeds directly to a small young female cardinal. 😍

Please everyone, try to notice some wonderful things around you, and I promise I will do the same.:D😄☺️🥰

I too am very happy to hear that your hips are not paining as much!

I'm glad you left that cute raccoon in there. I had to search to find one after you'd mentioned it, but finally I did spot him. 😁😊🤣

About to catch the bus into town. I want to have a look at laptops and see if there's anything I like/get information etc. before I finally take the plunge and buy one. The one I have now plays up at times and my tablet isn't very good either so I should get something sorted before it's too late and they both pack up on me!

When I come back I will be following local news. Youngest son is on a charity walk. It's an annual event which started in 1966. The idea of walking from Keswick (in the Lake District) to Barrow originated in 1966 as a result of a statement made by the late U.S. President, John F Kennedy, that "every American should be capable of walking 50 miles a day". The original walk was around 50 miles but is now nearer to 40 as the starting point was moved due to congestion. History of the walk | Keswick to Barrow Walk

There is also a shorter walk from Coniston Lake to Barrow which is approximately 21 miles and that's the one my son is doing. He's done the longer one 3 times and the short one twice. I went on the walk around 1970/1. Once was enough for me. 🤣

Hope you are feeling better after your dental visit, @Kaila. I will think of you and @RadishRose when I do my exercises. 😎💪🏃‍♀️

That was very interesting to hear about those walks Pam. Thank you for telling us!👍

I hope that you found some good ideas about a tablet or laptop, on your excursion.

I hope that your exercises have the desired results, Pam. 😀

There are limited routes for my local walks. I make myself look for 3 different things. It doesn’t have to be much. That tree is blooming. There’s an antique car. They changed their blinds. I never pretended to live a wild life. 😉 Now I’ve proved it.

So many laptops to choose from but I think I know which one I prefer. Will take my son with me next time and see what he thinks. I didn't come back empty handed though. Bought a couple of summer tops 👚and pants. 👖

My son did the walk in 6 hours. Grandson's friend ran all the way in just over 3 hours. So, well done him!
