My big news is that I'm starting a new Animal Crossing diary/journey. Geeze, is that really my biggest news today? Well, in my defense, I do really love this game and it has become an enthralling hobby for me. When I die, the kids can delete the diaries.

Husband leaves tomorrow for a four-day visit with our son, in Florida. He usually goes approximately once every three months, but it's been about five months this time so they're both really looking forward to the visit.

Today I'm back to my AIMS and regularly scheduled programming. (Ha, "programming.")

@Trila, thank you so much for brining the coffee! Nice to be able to post up something other than coffee.

At one time, far in the past now, Kaila typed "caring" or something very close, and the auto-correct changed it to "carrots." Thus, "carrots of caring."

Hello to all of you, here.

I worked hard, to do a few small household tasks, today,
and parts of a couple of larger tasks instead of complete ones, ....
with rests in between.

After a restless nap in the afternoon, I did manage to go outdoors for a very short yet refreshing break.

It's great to come here, and see and read, each of the posts, and to think of your days, and not solely my own!

It really was. She was radiant. I’ve never seen her so happy. But good grief, she’s been working on this for a 1.5 yrs. Every little detail was thought out. Tomorrow is the buffet breakfast.

Today is my husband's first day in Florida, visiting our son. He'll be away until late Wednesday evening, which means I won't see him until Thursday. I'll miss him, but I'm really glad he's there because it's wonderful, stress-free rest for him and he and our son have a very close bond.

Our younger son, the dog, and I will manage while husband is away.

@Kaila, it sounds like you had a productive day yesterday. "Work smarter, not harder." Seems like what you're doing.

Good morning, Kaila & Friends! I hope you are all well and smiley. I'm planning an outside day, just not exactly sure what I'll do yet, but the forecast is for 84!!! Usually they've been low by a few degrees with the forecast, so probably around 86 today! Keeping an eye on the two Atlantic hurricanes... hope they veer away from the coast!

I think someone needs to hide all the carrots we have lying around this place... could be dangerous!

I'm glad you have that new game ,in the hobby that you enjoy so much.
It will also help you this week, while you must miss your husband, when he goes away for 4 days.

My setback/back slide has been significantly effecting what I can and cannot do.
But I'm okay. Disappointed but okay.

I'm glad I managed to stock up on groceries and cat food.
I can use a ride service and my rollater for my 2 medical appointments, this week , if I don't improve enough to drive and walk.

My coffee tastes delicious this morning. I put honey in it for an additional treat.

@Pappy Thank you for the beautiful quote. Yes, it sounded familiar and I see that it was from that movie 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' That was a good movie I remember from years ago I've seen it more than once.

@Kaila it sounds like you're slipping a little and are concerned about it. Well I don't know what condition you have; I never knew what happened to you, but in time you'll get stronger. Just keep at it and know we care.

Terrible day yesterday. I was fooling around with that stupid little crock pot I bought the 2 qt and I had some chicken and a cheesy sauce in it. After I ate some and emptied the rest I tried to slide it along my glass top stove on the way to the sink but the darn thing took a right, fell off the stovetop onto my ceramic tile floor and broke into pieces! Oh I was so upset. So I got the broom and somehow managed to sweep it all into a corner and I left it there; my grandson and the family will be here around three.... he told me he'll take care of it.

The landscapers were here the other day mowing and buzzing and blowing and and chopping. One fool was blowing the leaves off my little deck and he ended up putting more leaves on the damn deck than there was in the beginning! I don't know how he did it. What a chump!

Gummy Drop is a match three game like Candy Crush? I was never able to get into those but my husband enjoys them and I know they're very popular. I can see where they would be soothing.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a sandbox game, played on Nintendo's Switch Console, that actually does have some direction, which I appreciate. I have just fallen in love with it. As I can't seem to talk about this game without going long, I'll link a 65 second video which you are free to ignore. LOL

Ugh, sorry about the mishap with your crock pot! That sounds like a lot to deal with. Hope your floor tiles survived okay, though.

I loathe and despise leaf blowers. They are one thing I cannot find my Zen about.

So sorry about your mishap, RR. I can relate. I had a stack of clear pyrex bowls, Last week the two big ones slipped out of my hands and shattered. I supplimented with an old orange one but it looks out of place and ugly. I guess there are worse things!

This was a lakeside wedding so some of us, including the wedding party, stayed overnight. My DD put together a buffet breakfast. Fruit, buns, coffee, etc.

Last week the two big ones slipped out of my hands and shattered. I supplimented with an old orange one but it looks out of place and ugly. I guess there are worse things!

Great logic. Sometimes I have to tell myself the same thing.
