Googles "new" Search stinkos:(

I finally got rid of google search since I don't like the "new" image search they have. Yahoo still has the easy one, where you can click and copy. Also (as the article below mentions) you can click a link that will give you the "old" search results. Googles images now have the site and size listed, and when you want to copy and paste you first have to jump to the "site" of the images. Give me my click to enlarge, copy, paste, done. Feedback welcome;) Going to every site, that every image comes from just slows me down, and if I am really interested in who the author is, I will use the link that takes me to a site. Don't force me google, it's counter-productive:(

I hate 'improvements' or upgrades or updates! Just means confusion and relearning and I just want to get on with.......

Every time my husband updates something on his computer, he seems to spend a day with explosions and curses ;) coming from his office.

Yup, same here!;)

I wish these tekkie geeks would find something else to play with, rather than ruining a "good thing" with their tweaking, LOL!!

LOL! I hear you Debby;) I make the mistake of thinking some update, or new, fangled software will be better, and yep, @#$%^&, LOL!

How many of you have moved to Win 10 yet. I put my name in some weeks back so expect soon to be updated there and likely there will be plenty of confusion then.

I still have Windows 7 (stop laughing) and haven't wanted to change it because I like it the way it is. I always hear of issues with upgrades. Bob, why not wait until the kinks are worked out before upgrading to windows 10?

Lara, I was going to do that and wait till first of next year. But my brother, my daughter, a lady friend of my brother, have already done the update. They claimed it was not too bad so I decided to do so myself. It is not an instant thing right now. You put your name and such in the materials that are shown behind the 4 box image in the right hand lower margin on my screen.

Surprise, I just clicked on the box to see if any status yet. It said my copy is here, been down loaded and ready to install. I guess I will have to pick a good day, start in the early morning, let it install, answer the questions and hope it works out fine.

My daughter and brother both said theirs happened without problems. But there are things they bring but you have to then install or select them or not. One thing my daughter said she worked on was access to far too many addresses or activities. She said there is a table of YES/NO choices and all are set to YES. She said as she read them she changed all the answers to NO. Well, I will just have to do my best. I hope my machine will still work when done with the download.

I feel the same Lara, I have win 7 and it works very well. That's right, it is a beta version they are giving away isn't it??

I feel much better, thanks for letting me know Denise. I thought I was the only one left on the planet. Bob, let us know how it works out for you when it finishes downloading.

Nah, the powers that be want us to think we are "behind the times" but I don't believe them. Just like cars, they want us to have a new one every year;)

nwlady, you can "right click" and "save image as..." can't you? What browser are you using? I use Firefox and Chrome, and both will download and save images from Google search directly.

Yes, I can still right click and copy, but I don't like having to go to the site to get the image full size tnt. It just used to be simpler, and the search brings up much smaller images as well so I don't get a good look without clicking to enlarge. I don't know, it just isn't the same for me. Let's see if I can put a couple of links to show you what I mean;)

The above is Yahoo, you just click image to enlarge and then right-click to copy.

The below link is googles newer image search and when you click, you actually end up on a site, that could potentially have malware/viruses, sites I don't want to visit. I don't surf too many unknown sites is all, and don't like being forced to anytime I want an image:

I'm still using Windows 7, too. I don't see any reason to change. The Dell tech told me there's really no reason to change until Microsoft stops supporting Windows 7. I'll just wait till they work out all the glitches. I HATE fooling around with new software glitches.

I have Windows 7 too and I refuse to go to win10. 7 has served me well so, I'll stick with it. On my laptop I have win 8.1 and I MAY go to win10 on it later.

Can do. I have Win 7 now and hate to see it go. But after next June this so called free upgrade is supposed to be gone. I hope to be ready by then for this new world we have. For a while, about 4 years used Linux, now for several years back on MS. Not afraid to leave MS if it is too messy. Not much from MS that I use but the operating system. I use different word processors and feature products rather than the MS stuff they feature.

I've got Windows 10. Not too bad, after getting used to Windows 8.1, which was a big change from 7 (which I liked just fine). I'm still on the learning curve, so at times it's frustrating, but if I press the ? key, I
can instantly get help, and they've answered most of my questions.

Glad Win 10 is working for you. I hope for a similar success. It all depends on how good Win 10 handles other makers software as I try never to us MS stuff if I can avoid it. My sister always uses the other big product, called Mac, I believe.

Good for you Sunny;) I haven't used 8/8.1 on any regular basis so I think I would have some problems jumping from 7 to 10. We'll see I guess. Do you see a lot of similarities to Win 8.1? Does 10 have those dang tiles? I know you can pretty much work without using them, if you have 8.1 if I remember right on my sisters. Denise

Yay! Another Far Side fan! :-D

I have win 10 on a small laptop I travel with and my desk top computer at home. After it was downloaded to my computers I did the custom install or set up or whatever they called it. I turned everything to off that they had set on. I just figured if they wanted me to do it, I shouldn't be doing it. So far when I'm home I usually use my old Vista laptop as I'm more comfortable with it and don't like to try and learn something new that I'm sure they'll be changing in another year or so. But so far I have no complaints about 10.

Yep, that sounds just like the way my daughter said she handled Win 10. Shut everything to NO. So that is something I will watch for too.
