I mailed something out of state a few days ago so I was concerned when I got a message saying there has been a problem with a package I supposedly mailed.
I checked the routing number for the package I sent and it is right where it is supposed to be after two days and says it will be delivered Monday.
So by now I know this message is a scam.
I looked at what they wanted and it was just common stuff like address, phone number and Email address.
Now does it make sense that they need my phone number and Email address after sending me a message on my phone?
I filled out the information with a phony name and address and all of the rest of it was false.
Then I hit next and see where they want me to give them credit card information to pay for the supposedly additional postage.
I punched out 16 numbers over and over and each time it took them a couple of minutes to state that the credit card didn’t work.
Them I deleted the whole works hitting the message that says that site is a scam.
They use what looks like an official USPS site somehow as their URL.
So if you get a message from USPS saying they are having problems with a package you sent don’t give them any real information about yourself or any financial information.
