I have three adult grand children that live within 20 minutes of where I live. They have produced at this point five greats, two girls and three boys.
I have 16 grands ranging in age from 10 months to 25 years(7 girls,9 boys) and a greatgrandson 20 months old. I`m in California, and other than my 21 yo granddaughter who up and moved to Alaska a couple of years ago, they all live anywhere from a few blocks to a few hours away.
I wish so much that I could be with my grandchildren for Easter but I am hoping to visit them this summer.but my husband will be with his and I know he will enjoy seeing them..So sweet of you to make them Easter baskets .. Enjoy your time with them it goes by so fast ..LeahI have two Grandsons,6 and 8. They just moved from the West coast to the east coast and now are only about five hours away. We see them often and are really getting to know them and enjoying the holidays together. I just finished putting their Easter baskets together today and if we have nice weather Easter Sunday we will have an egg hunt as well.
Two grand children, one in New Yawk and one in New Joisey. Their parents are in the Seattle area.
Two, but one more in the offing!
They live in Cambridge but spend most bank hollidays with us where we do our best to corrupt them. I'm teaching them Russian and how to REALLY swear!
Also why theism is a "load of old shoemakers" to the immense annoyance of their other grandparents who are fully paid up members of The God Squad but is good for their mental health.
Then there's the country crafts such as how to get really dirty, how to make bows and arrows, how to make and use catapults, how to climb trees, how to make bonfires and cook potatoes in the hot ashes, in fact all the "uncivilised" things that snooty academics and superannuated Snowflakes loath.
But a better behaved pair of kids would be hard to find.
I am Blessed with 3 Grandchildren. My Son has 2 boys one is 20yrs old and one is 19 yrs old. They are both in College now and live on campus, which is only 15 minutes from where I live. Their parents live about 5 minutes away from us. My Daughter has a 6yr old little girl and thankfully they only live 20 minutes away from us. They are all my Hearts.
i have 7 grand children and 7 great grandchildren ===some here in georgia some in va. some in maryland
I am blessed with three grandchildren via my daughter. Oldest is 22 (grandson) and will be leaving us this coming August to begin a doctoral program in Psychology at the University of North Dakota. He's a delightful guy who will be greatly missed. Daughter and family lived next door to us for 17 years, so I had the joy of having them close. Daughter divorced, and hubby and I bought their house which my son and grandson now rent from us. The next one is 19 years old (granddaughter) who lives with us. She just finished cosmetology school and is busy building her clientele, has her own dance studio and teaches dance, and is yet another delight in our lives! The youngest is 17. After her divorce, daughter moved 30 minutes away, but granddaughter continues at her high school, so she spends quite a few nights at our house and most days stops by our house before heading home after school. She will be starting a job at Carls Jr. burgers next week. She wants to be a forensic pathologist. Being a grandparent has been the BEST experience!
Like Dame Warrigal, I have six grandchildren, all grown, or mostly grown. The two youngest are teenagers. They live all over the country, with only one near me. But we manage to get together fairly often.
One granddaughter who is the light of my life, two step-granddaughter who I love dearly, two sort-of granddaughters that I acquired through the Spousal Equivalent who have been my granddaughters-in-heart since the day of their births, and one unbelievably wonderful great-granddaughter who just turned one.
