New York City, hummm, 1963, in one of 20-30 troop buses to Brooklyn Naval Yard to board troop ships, it was stop and go, had two be 2-3 hours, more due to the bus drivers than traffic, buildings, buildings, more buildings ....Damn, how to people live here?
Passed a group of several thuggish looking teens, someone gave them the finger. Their were only 15, or so...they started throwing 'stuff,' bricks, iron....( I suppose they would have thrown rocks, apparently, you can't find a rock in the city?)
They were lucky that the bus drivers would not stop, Going to board a troop ship does not make for happy, happy troops.
Very negative feelings about NYC-they live in cement and their nuts.
Then 9-11, an event that changed every negative opinion anyone ever had about NYC Always watch at least, one doc every anniversary.
Their our people!
Your picture is reminiscent of a cathedral, poignant. I have no opinion of NYC, only 9-11.
