I've been browsing here for a bit so thought I'd post an intro. I'm newly retired, just turned 66 last month. I spend too much time, according to my wife, on a rowdy, redneck drag racing forum, but they have an addictive politics section.
I used to do competitive shooting decades ago. just renewed some NRA certifications for Pistol and Home Firearm Safety and hope I can get some part time work at a new indoor range opening nearby. I will get my Range Safety Officer certification shortly.
I'm also trying to get back into reloading, specifically for long range shooting. In short, now that I have time to burn, I'm hoping to get in gear with some of my previous hobbies...too old & decrepit now for martial arts (back is a train wreck). I also used to do a lot of photography, both for work at one time and as a hobby. Most of my working life was spent selling microscopy and digital imaging systems to life science research labs.
One other interest is cars. My wife and I go to a lot of local cruise-ins and car shows with our 1999 Panoz AIV roadster. We also have 4 Maine Coon cats that are a joy and a riot. However, we probably won't be out much this summer for anything since my wife is getting ready to start chemotherapy. If any women here have been through this, I would appreciate hearing about suggestions you have on how I might make this easier for her, and how to keep her eating, etc.
