Queensland woman, Karla Blowers, just won the world practical pistol shooting championship for the second time beating all of the heavily sponsored competitors for USA, Europe, Russia etc.
Ms Blowers started her career shooting at about 14 years old and has spent many years training to become the best of the best.
She does not hurt anyone as in contact sports, risk her life or those of other competitors as in motor sports nor cost large amounts of public money to pay for her equipment and training as in just about every other sport yet a small amount of whingers are afraid that the skills she has acquired will endanger people.
I congratulate these girls and their teachers for having the open mindedness to allow training in the only sport that is part of the Summer Olympics, Winter Olympics and Commonwealth Games.
