I haven't been around much but hope to spend a bit more time here with those I enjoy, and have missed;)

I did find my apartment, but not in Lakeport like I was hoping. Thing is, I think where I am moving may be even better, location-wise:) Here's a photo of 7 or so blocks from me on the far, Northern Coast of California:

Lots to tell, but basically, there are many trails to hike/walk, great camping up the Smith River, and Redwoods galore. More later, but wanted to wish you all a happy new year;) denise

Happy new year, Denise. I could stand having that just a few blocks from my place:) Glad you finally have a place to call home. When do you get to move in? And are you going to get a 4-legged companion?

Hi Denise, so good to see you again! Great that you have your own place now, and that photo is awesome, I love the coastline there and in Oregon! Sounds like some beautiful nature by you, hiking, camping...life is good! Hope you have a very happy and healthy new year! :)

It is lovely Seabreeze, and sooooooo much to do for sure. Can't wait for a low-tide, and a walk out to the lighthouse. NEVER been inside any lighthouse;)

Really excited Cookie, thank you for the well wishes;) Once I'm all moved in, I will get online much more:) Also, they had me scheduled for the 18th for my wifi. That's 10 days after move-in, more waiting:( wahhh!! Then I got a call today saying they have me scheduled for the 9th. This gal was so neat, I think she thought I meant it when I said I would have withdrawals if I didn't get it sooner, LOL!!
 
Oh, I'm in love with it already Nancy;) I will tell way more about it later, but it's just right for me, and lots of bonuses to living there;) hugs, denise

Yeah, I just needed a break, partly, and partly, I was so busy with things, I got out of the habit of opening the darn laptop. But I'll have it set up permanently at my desk now, so I'll be on more;)
 
LOL Misty;) Well, if my friend knows what she is talking about, that is the same city the little gal lost her arm to a shark while she was surfing. So they are definitely out there. Same gal they made a movie about too?? hugs, denise
 
My move in is the 8th, next Friday Georgia! Happy New year to you as well!! I am thinking hard about a pet again. I want another little dog, but one that can handle the walking I do. I'll sure let you know;) I saw a long-haired chiauau today, what a darling!! Looked kind of like this:

Hi Karen, thank you so much! I am way excited in case you couldn't tell, LOL!! I've lived in two missions, camped for a month (but in a beautiful place up the river in Oregon) and then had to move into a low rent boarding type house. So yep, I am so ready to have a home of my own again;) denise
 
Happy new year Denise!!!! So happy you are getting an apartment! Is it anywhere near Arcata/Trinidad? It's so gorgeous on the coast and the redwoods.
 
It's further North AS, 20 miles south of the Oregon border. Trinidad is a lovely area, visited there a few times since living down here in Eureka;) Happy New Year to you and yours as well;)
 
the pink flowers I'll have to look up. This is the first I've seen of them out at the lighthouse:

This is "typical" of a harbor, but I still love it! One of my fave things to do is walk around and look at the boats, especially the "working" boats (fishing);)
