When I was younger I went to a few psychics. All except one came highly recommended. The one who wasn't was down the street from my job so I decided to check her out. It was obvious by the time the session was over that she was a charlatan. I think she only charged $5 though. Here are the ones I visited who were very accurate in most of what they told me. Understand that I never gave information up front to any of them and dodged answering any questions that they could "use" during the sessions. These are the main things I remember:
~Bread Lady: She told me that I would be (financially) well off one day. I couldn't understand how that was going to happen because I was a low wage clerical worker (for the city) and didn't see that changing. Her prediction came to fruition, though I wouldn't consider myself rich.
~Rev. Hewitt: Ironically she was recommended by my BFF at the time, who did not believe in that stuff. Rev. Hewitt told me that they liked me at my job and that I would be getting a big raise (again, I couldn't see that happening at the time). She told me that our office was in a new building. She knew that I had a young son and asked if his father was in our lives. I said No and she said, Good...you don't need him.
It turned out that she was right on all counts. I had permanently X-ed my ex from my life and did just fine without him. I didn't even ask for child support during the divorce. Years later, at the urging of my supervisor, I changed positions in my office twice. Each time came with a nice jump in salary and I wound up making almost four times what I was making when I visited Rev. Hewitt.
Coincidentally (??) I don't really believe in coincidences, but in 1988 when I took a metaphysical course at an adult night school with my current BFF and a friend of hers, our instructor covered different metaphysical topics each week. During one session she spoke about psychic abilities and psychics. She said the only ones she felt were the real deal were Bread Lady and Rev. Hewitt. I had not mentioned to her that I'd visited either of them.
