Have you noticed how "young" young people are?

I admit it-I'm an old 71 year old coot. When I see people in their 20s, there look rather young. Way too young. It's like they should spend more time in the nest. I guess it's only young people, who can misuse youth.

I know what you mean!

I try to think back to my days in high school and wonder if I looked that young, my recollection is that I was much more grown up and worldly than young folks today.

I've noticed some 8 year olds who are dressed and act like they're 15. These kids these days are a lot more mature than when I was a young child, IMO.

My grandson that I used to pick up under one arm is now 6'4" and 22 years old. I have shrunk and now have to look up to him.

Long ago, I heard when individuals in various professions start to look like kids, it's a sign one is 'aging.' Doctor, police, and this lil guy- he's been a practicing attorney for years, but doesn't he look like he just stepped out of Junior High School? lol coltmoss2-236x300.jpg

I went back to Uni in my middle years. At one stage I had to front the Maths professor for permission to do a course for which I did not have the necessary prerequisite. You really feel old when the professor looks like a boy.

I remember needing to go Urgent Care once. Usually staffed by PA's. When my PA walked in, I just could not help myself. Looked him up and down and asked "How old are you? 16?) He was 25.

But then again, when we were young, people OUR age seemed pretty old. So, I guess what goes around comes around.

And --- on the flip side ---- > I notice "kids" that try and look so much older than they are. I live by a middle school & a high school , and I can't tell what grade these kids are in .
Being totally honest , some of those girls waiting for the bus look like hookers on the corner. If I had kids nowadays , I'd rather see them looking younger than trying to look like a pretend adult.

I can vividly remember back in my teens trying to look older than I was. Sigh....and they say prayers aren't answered...
