Hello from Listowel Ontario. I just want to take a second to introduce myself. I am only 57 years old but I suffer with severe arthritis in my lower back, hips and legs. I was living about an hours drive from here and was having so many problems taking care of myself until I found this place. I now live in an assisted living type house.

It is a great place for people on disability or the elderly. I was surprised to find the place is only about 50% full considering the low price they charge. I love not having to struggle doing all the physical thing that need to be done on a daily basis. I would recommend this place or any other place like it. Have a great day everyone.
 

Hi there, Saltyangel. And welcome. Great that you fou d a good place to live. Another forum member here, Lon, is moving to a similar place next month. I am 63, but many of my arthritic issues started when I was in my 50's as well. Have already had my hip replaced, and probably will need to have a shoulder done too.
This is a great forum, and I am sure you will like it here.

Hello Sue, nice to meet you. Listowel is about an hours drive north west of Kitchener, straight north of Stratford. It is a great friendly farming community. I moved here from Cambridge and for the first little while I would take my walker and stroll downtown and just sit there saying good morning to everyone. People are so friendly. In Cambridge everyone would be thinking what the H____ do you want. Ha Ha Ha Ha it was a great choice moving here.
