Hi Pinky! They’re called the Blue Ridge Mountains, and are part of the Appalachians chain. They don’t look like the conventional image of a mountain range, more like hills, but they are above the 3,000ft elevation needed to be classed as a mountain.Good morning, Richard .. which mountains do you live in/near? I grew up in Vancouver, B.C. and miss seeing mountains. Have been in Toronto since the mid-60's.

I live 6 miles from the ridge of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. I spent most of my life just 70 miles west of the continental divide in Montana, so I consider the Blue Ridge as more like topographic relief. It's enough to keep me happy though.Hi Pinky!
