First President Trump would tell us what an awesome job he's doing, go on every news program (except Fox of course) to make sure everyone knew how well he was doing, then tell us what a spectucular plan he has for dealing with the Taliban, but not release any details, but it would be HUGE! It would be GREAT. It would be AMAZING!
Then he'd insult all the losers that he beat to get into the White House. :)

Thinking a bit more about my first post, I would advise voters in the United States to think carefully about who you choose to be the next president. If you choose badly it could get very difficult to recruit allies for military expeditions. Some candidates won't be well regarded by the rest of the world.

Without your telling us who you think would be bad, we have no way of knowing how you feel. For sure we don't want anymore quitters like the one we have now for President. We have a crippled military so pretty easy for an enemy to make some troubles. We do have some inspectors and police watching our rails and airports, not sure about the seaports but maybe the Coast Guard is working there. Our border patrol has been told to stand back and not interfere much at all. So we have real wide open borders for ever more folks to come to the US, sit on their butts, and hope the police don't gather them up and send them home. We have not done that for years, but likely should have. We have unknowns in the thousands now living in the US.

The choice must be yours Bob but remember that the rest if the world is watching and when the US tries to assemble the next coalition of the willing other world leaders will be reluctant to step up if the US president is seen to be a lightweight or reckless.

In the final outcome, I can't see any situation where Australia won't sign up but we are very small potatoes in the military sense. European allies can contribute a lot more and it would be very important to have a president who can maintain good relations with other leaders. Also, other leaders have to consider what their voters think and if the US president is not well regarded outside America, this will be a factor in the decision they will make.
 
Watch out for the Canadians, we are coming! We will disguise ourselves as Americans, and take over from within. We are a patient and resourceful people. Very subtle, with a socialist manifesto which we intend to spread worldwide, beginning with our southern neighbours.

The Canadians are already here. Met many where I was living a few years back. They show up in the fall and go away in the spring. Many do come to the US and stay here as for some, back a few years ago, they found good jobs down here that were scarce in Canada. Not sure about now though as the US is running a bit short of good jobs and good wages offers. Maybe a new government will be able to correct that problem in about a year and a half. Doesn't matter who wins just as long as they are much smarter about using our Congress to run the government and no more out of the White House stuff.
 
Besides being an egomaniac, Donald Trump is a loose cannon and I can't see him behaving in any way presidential. The idea of him negotiating with world leaders scares me to death -- he'd probably make fun of somebody's face and get us bombed. Seriously.
