Hey all you who are up now and later!

There can be some problems with the time difference between the USA and Australia.

My granddaughter was in the USA on holiday and somehow missed a flight because of no bus turning up. She didn't have enough to pay for the next flight so contacted her father in Australia.

He offered the airline to pay the cost via his credit card, but they couldn't process it, because in Australia it was Wednesday 24th, and it was only Tuesday 23rd in the USA.

Changing subject a little. Australia is going through a bit of a heat wave at the moment. Very few days below 100F where I live and not much relief at night either.. High humidity too.

Rainfall has been quite low too.
I can see how the time differences can pose a problem when traveling especially.

100F with high humidity-that is HOT! We rarely get that here.

I'm up late again. It's 1:05 here. Just watching an Eric Clapton concert on my smart tv on Youtube. I love this big screen I have..

It is 11.20 pm and I am not very good, Ok but not very good. I was sitting at a table last night, at the place where I go to cook and serve to the homeless It was the first table they come to an I had been wrapping cutlery in serviettes. It was heaped high with trays and about 200 plates and boxes of heavy cutlery Just as I was getting up the table collapsed at one end and it landed on my leg just above the knee, all the trays , plates ect slid off but not before I got a really bad whack. Dozens of dishes smashed. My knee is now up like a ballon and have had to have it quite tightly strapped, it is hard to weigh bear on it. I am told it could be a year before it will heal and the swelling goes away, The real irony it was one of the few bits on me that have no damage. I managed to get to church this am but I was on double crutches so am a bit worried at the moment

Oh boy, that sounds very painful! I hope you will be able to get to a doctor.

I am up now. I slept a lot yesterday. One of these days I will get my hours straightened out but it's not that important.

Ooo err Jeannine. My sympathies for your injury. Who said it would take a year to heal? I wouldn't take that as the final word.

Keep the leg up as much as possible and use ice packs as often as possible and keep seeing your doctor about once a month.
Don't be a martyr like my mum who refused to see a doctor after a car accident that put her sister in hospital with a cracked pelvis. Mum soldiered on through the pain of two cracked ribs because she was too busy to look after herself.

I'm still up doing laundry. I thought I'd be the only one up doing it but some guy just started doing his laundry, too. Guess I'll be up pretty late. It's 3:20 am here now.
