DEATH RACE 2000 (1975) Official Trailer

In the dystopian future created by Roger Corman, the Transcontinental Road Race has become the national sport. More than just a race, points are scored by killing individuals along the route on the coast-to-coast race. Frankenstein (David Carradine), a close personal friend of mine, and Machine Gun Joe (Sylvester Stallone) lead the pack looking to win the race. Ultra-Campy is the word of the day as the rebels look to end the race and restore freedom to America. A 7 out of 10.

Snitch Official Trailer #1 (2013) - Dwayne Johnson Movie HD

Caught by the DEA for drugs, The Rock’s son (Rafi Gavron) is used as a leverage tool to work up the chain of command for a drug cartel. To help his son, Johnson injects himself into the investigation and becomes a pivotal part of it. A slow burn of a movie with a serious supporting cast, Snitch gets a 7 out of 10.

Battle Beyond the Stars (1980) - Trailer HD 1080p

Everyone seems to have missed the origins of this movie. This is the Space Version of the Magnificent Seven, which of course is the recreation of the Japanese classic Seven Samurai.

Robert Vaughn gets the award for playing a role in two movies that recreate the Japanese Classic film playing the exact same character in both. Roger Corman’s production brought many big names to this rendition including George Peppard, Richard Thomas, Robert Vaughn, John Saxon, Jeff Corey and Sybil Danning. Almost every space ship somehow was a recreation of some sort of animal: Moose, Hammerhead Shark, Frog, Large-Mouth Bass, Dragonfly, Flea, Tick, Manta and Octopus. Even the Nestor’s ship resembles a jellyfish without the hanging tentacles. The Valkyrie plays the part of Chico (Horst Buchholz). If you have about 5 hours to kill, watch The Magnificent Seven and this movie back-to-back and you’ll easily see the comparisons.

This Cult Classic gets a 7 out of 10.

In a prison cell somewhere in Latin America, two very different men warily confront each other. Molina (William Hurt) is first seen wrapping his head in a towel, in the shape of a turban, while Valentin (Raul Julia), bearded and classically macho in appearance, watches with a mixture of fascination and revulsion. During the time spent together, the two men come to understand and respect each other.
A coworker-friend and I saw this movie. She and I both walked out of the theater going WTH??!! Didn't get it at all. But that beautiful Raul Julia..well, he made it not a total loss. Gone too soon. May he R.I.P.

The Shootist (1976)

The Shootist Original Trailer (Don Siegel, 1976)

One of the final films done by John Wayne. Ironically the main character is dying from colon cancer while Wayne was dying from stomach cancer. The supporting cast is impressive with Lauren Bacall, Ron Howard, James Stewart, Richard Boone and Henry Morgan - along with many others - providing excellent performances. A dying shootist (gunfighter) has one last fight in him as he goes out guns a’blazing. An 8 out of 10

Unstoppable (2010)

Unstoppable Official Trailer #1 - (2010) HD

Based on actual events, Tony Scott and Denzel Washington team up once again to bring this edge-of-your-seat action adventure to the big screen. Washington plays the role of an aging train engineer being forced out of his job by the company simply to cut payroll expenses. Chris Pine plays the young and upcoming conductor who is struggling to find himself. These two opposites are scheduled to work together the day that a runaway train occurs on their route. This train, traveling at 60+ MPH, contains 8 tanker cars carrying toxic chemicals and is endangering the town of Stanton, PA.

This movie proves that not all superheroes wear capes. It is a solid 8 out of 10.
A very enjoyable movie. I want to yell at those helicopter pilots going in close for the camera shots and not caring if they are bothering the hero as he risks his life to save the town. Denzel Washington, as usual, simply superb.

It's is now playing on Hulu, which I have. But I have the DVD, one of the few I've purchased over the years. Also, wanted to let you know, when you first so kindly posted the link for the English version of Destroy All Monsters, I left the page open so I could watch it when I had time. but forgot and shut down my computer. When I tried to open the link again, it said I didn't have access. Not being one to give up, I found the English version on a streaming service called Fawesome. It's one of the newer services., has thousands of movies and TV shows and is free.

I just checked post #74 in this thread and the link worked for me. I think you have evil gremlins in your system.

I always found the attempt to land an engineer on the train via a helicopter was exceptionally stupid when all they had to do was have someone hop from one engine to the 777 when they were attempting to slow the train from the front.

IDK much about trains so the whole thing seemed crazy brave and ambitious to me. The jumping from car-to-car, jumping onto the train from the side, all insane, IMO.

But if you had been working on trains for 20-30 years like Frank had, then OK. I guess car jumping is a muscle memory if you've done it for 20 years.

This movie needed a better title, IMO. "Unstoppable" was far too vague.

Another great train movie with Denzel Washington: "The Taking of Pelham 123". A remake, but very well done.

I bought my PC a couple of months ago and don't know how to do everything yet. I tried disconnecting my VPN but that didn't work. It prompted me to check my ad blocker and firewall. The print is so tiny on some of the setting windows that I can hardly see what they say therefore I haven't found the firewall settings yet. It's not like when I go to websites though. I've had a Mac for a couple of decades, so this Windows stuff is all still new to me.

I forgot to see if I'd have the same issue on my tablet with the link you provided. Just did and I had no problem. The picture quality is better on the computer and tablet, so though I prefer to watch movies on a larger screen, I'll save it to watch on the tablet with earbuds after my son goes to bed tomorrow night. It's good that I'll avoid ads that way.

Speaking of Gremlins...I liked that movie way more than I expected to.:ROFLMAO:

New repeating handguns are just being introduced in the West. Two of these are stolen and then used for robberies of the local stage lines. Randolph Scott looks to recover his stolen weapons and bring justice to the gang that is terrorizing a local town. A fair western that hits on all the standard requirements. It gets a 6 out of 10.

Under The Rainbow (1981) Official Trailer - Chevy Chase, Carrie Fisher Comedy Movie HD

Chevy Chase plays a Secret Service agent charged with protecting a Duke and Duchess. Carrie Fisher is the movie executive in charge of extras for the filming of the Wizard of Oz. They all collide together at the Hotel Rainbow. Unfortunately, there is evil afoot as an assassin (Robert Donner) looks to kill the Duke, Nazi (Billy Barty) and Japanese (Mako) agents look to obtain classified materials about an American invasion and the little people run amuck during the whole event. Note: This was Hollywood Legend Leonard Barr’s final film. He died before the movie was released. This comedic film was dedicated to him. It gets a 7 out of 10.

Expend4bles (2023)

EXPEND4BLES Trailer #1 (2023)

I can understand the disappointment with the latest film in the series. It’s billed as an Expendables movie but morphs into a Jason Statham movie with a high-dollar supporting cast. Tony Jaa is the highlight to the new additions and he still can float like a butterfly. Most of the veteran cast members from the previous films are absent and Stallone only plays an extended cameo role. If this was marketed as a Statham movie it would have received a better score. As an Expendables flick, it just gets a 6 out of 10.
So you're saying Stallone was Expendable in this movie?

Three the Hard Way (1974)

hqdefault.jpg

Three the Hard Way (1974) - Trailer HD 1080p

Three of the biggest, baddest brothers of the 70s team up in this action adventure. Jim Brown, Fred Williamson and Jim Kelly take on racist evil scientists who have developed a serum that only kills people of color. Jay Robinson plays the ultra-creepy evil leader like no one else could and looks to introduce the serum into the public water supply for L.A., Washington D.C., and Detroit. The action is almost nonstop but the overt racism detracts from the overall production.

BTW: pay no attention to the magic blue Dodge van that can transform back and forth from a 1960s version to a 1970s one. It gets a 6 out of 10.

The Dead Pool (1988)

hqdefault.jpg

The Dead Pool - Theatrical Trailer

The 5th and final Dirty Harry movie, now Harry Callahan is part of a celebrity list who are being predicted to die before the year is out. A psychopath is looking to make that list a reality. Liam Neeson, Jim Carrey (in an early role), Patricia Clarkson and Evan Kim fill out the cast and help to bring this series to a successful close. Harry even ditches his .44 for an even bigger gun in the finale. It gets a 7 out of 10.

I have always been kinda "Eh" about Dirty Harry movies. Kind of "Eh" about Clint Eastwood too, however, I really love some of the films he's directed in his later years. "Unforgiven" and "Million Dollar Baby" are both knock outs.

Good Burger (1997)

Good Burger (1997) Official Trailer - Kel Mitchell, Kenan Thompson Movie HD

A rival burger company opens up to threaten Good Burger’s reign at the top of the fast food pyramid. Their tactics are completely evil and it is up to our heroes to save the day and the burger store. Honestly, the performance of Kel Mitchell is the ONLY reason to watch this flick. Everything else is a waste of time. It barely gets a 6 out of 10.

A Big Hand for the Little Lady (1966)

A Big Hand for a Little Lady - Theatrical Trailer (Warner Archive Collection)

The biggest poker game in the territory is about to begin and the five richest men are rushing to be there. A traveling family, whose husband has a gambling problem (Henry Fonda), comes to town on the same day. Fonda talks his way into the game and puts up the entire family’s savings in a single hand. The stress becomes too much for him and he suffers a heart attack mid-hand and his wife (Joanne Woodward) is forced to play the hand in his place. However, not everything is as it appears to be. Jason Robards, Kevin McCarthy, Burgess Meredith and Paul Ford are part of this excellent cast. An 8 out of 10.
