How are you today?

Really nice here...beautiful sunny day with a breeze. I slept like a log, silly dreams, and no potty breaks! I always consider tuesday my 'free' day as the housekeeper was here yesterday and Now I can enjoy a clean place and do what I want all day. I think I will spin the remainder of the white merino wool.

The weather was so nice today that I decided to visit a friend who is housebound. I took fresh doughnuts and chilled coffee, we sat in the garden and chatted for a while.

The tubes are on strike and the roads were chockerblock so, I walked there and back - over one hour of exercise. I am so glad I went out today as tomorrow we have rain and I will probably declare it a rest day. :)

Today is a beautiful day. It was 20 degrees Celsius with a slight breeze off the ocean.
Our dog walk was really nice. We walked along the nature trail which is mowed down often.IMG_0407.jpegIMG_0415.jpeg
We considered walking along the sandy beach but decided not to. The pathway was freshly mowed. Our littlest one has green paws from helping his daddy mow the lawn. lol. He puts his ball on the pathway of the mower so it HAS to be picked up. He’s a smart little guy. lol 😂
Have a good day everyone.

I'm fine, thanks for asking:). It's morning again! Funny how that happens every. single. day.

The flowers have been watered. DD is gone to her work-away-from-home job this morning, and when she's done around noonish, we're going to Aldi to see if they have the $2.49 mums. Seems lots of stores have or have had them...all except ours

Then we're going to make a pass through the garden center to visit Clarence...

We had 2 beautiful days in low 20’s c …65f .then after the most welcome rain , we had over an inch in old measurements ….its turned cold again but we will take that …anytime ..we normally get excited if we get a few mills let alone inches ….
Staying home today after 2 half days out shopping ,Tuesday for food , then stocking up on garden stuff the supermarket had on special at really good prices

All our rainwater is diverted to ponds not far from our home , in Australia we must have stormwater pipes installed from our homes gutter to the street , where it flows to the creek …then out to sea 500 mtrs away

We never see ducks here it’s way to dry , however as soon as the creek where the rainwater flows to ~ has water in it
ducks turn up for a swim

All better here today, that little piece of pie sure had me uncomfortable last night.
If when you went on a diet and ate wrong and you'd get that reaction, more diets would
be able to declare success. I don't recommend it though.
Onward and upward, it's a new day!

I am a bit down because of all the hate by those reveling in the assignation of a young man because of his beliefs and teachings. Very sad that we as seniors couldn't post our condolences on this forum without the thread being deleted. Very sad indeed. I find it sad that when some reach the age of being considered a senior, that their heart is burdened by such hate.

I have no plan for today other than to wash some windows that fell victim to bird poop. Nice rain last night and the air is fresh and I am enjoying my coffee.

Also remembering 9/11 and the many that lost their lives and the ones that destroyed their health or gave their lives trying to save others.

Wisdom gained from my 3 day vision quest when I was in my 20s, still gets me thru days where it seems hate is winning over love. One thing I learned was it is hard to appreciate the good things in life, if you haven't ever experienced the bad.

Deya.jpg My mind seems to be sharing your path today, body busy, mind silently in honoring many others.

Being beachside we have quite a few 2 story homes in-the area
Why would being beachside affect whether houses are one or two story?

Two story homes are fairly common throughout the US, though I wouldn't live in one because I tend to stumble a bit - always have. Thanks for posting the photos — it's nice to have a mental image of where you live. ❤️

This reminds me...

My mother loved this place. There is a creek that runs west (it is west of the continental divide) that we all assumed eventually made it to the Pacific Ocean. Before Mom died, she made it clear she wanted her ashes poured into this creek so she would end up in the Pacific. That is what we did.

Later, I learned this creek runs into a canal at the base of the mountain and all of this water is used to irrigate the farmlands below.

I saw something interesting today. I went to my gastroenterologist for an appointment today. I was sitting in the waiting room and I looked over at the table that had the usual stuff....breath mints, lollipops, crackers....and there was a bowl of individually-wrapped prunes. Yep, prunes. I guess that was S.O.P. for a gastro office. I took a couple and they were very good. I haven't had prunes for a long time; I'm definitely going to get a box at the grocery store.

A bit sad. Heard from the insurers this morning that my car is being written-off after it's crash last week. Glad I wasn't sat in it when likkle old lady hit it! They've offered me a little more than I'd worked out it was worth. Let the car shopping begin!

It's been a weird weather day. Lovely blue sky and sunshine then clouds and thunderstorms followed by more sunshine. I dashed out to pick up a parcel earlier and just about made it home before the next storm started! Lucky me, perhaps I should buy a lottery ticket tomorrow

I just unpacked a new iron I ordered in the sale so, if it rains all day tomorrow, I will likely be ironing! ;):)

You just reminded me, I had a very strange dream last night!

I was back in a house I used to live in and in the street there were people dressed in black, kneeling and praying. I went to go downstairs and as I passed a window which looked over the garden, there were Rottweilers, lots of them, prowling around the gardens, some being walked by people dressed all in black. The next thing I remember was being at the garden door which wouldn't close and now there were German Shepherd dogs pawing at the door and a large poodle trying to clamber over them to get through the door.

I have no idea why I dreamt about dogs and people praying, it was the weirdest dream!

That was a weird dream. The people could mean a death, or a change in your living conditions. Both of the breeds were used in the camps by German soldiers and guards. Poodles are one of the more non friendly dogs. You were in your childhood home; maybe the dogs were helping you find some memories you've had all these years. You don't mention if you were afraid of anything.

Lucky me---I generally dream of happy, colorful flying kittens!

No, not afraid. At the door, I realised that they could get in if they wanted to. None of the dogs or people were aggressive.

These days, my dreams tend to be happy ones too which is why this one seemed extra strange.

I have never dreamed of colorful flying kittens :ROFLMAO:

Perhaps there is a change coming for you. I don't know anything about you so I can safely say that I think you are in for either a change, or recovering some repressed memories from the years you lived in the house/or your childhood years. Being that the agressive breeds were not agressive but sniffing around that property it seems they are looking for something. Both breeds are very protective and are most likely in your dream to keep you safe.
I'll keep my flying kittens, tho!

You know that is a great alternative for candy! Good on them!
