Happy Monday, my friends! Gotta get myself in gear today because some dear friends are arriving tomorrow afternoon and will spend the night.
I changed the guest bed linens a couple of days ago, and my house is always presentably clean, but with my bum wrist (still wearing a brace nearly 24/7), I've slacked off on the dusting and mopping.
Little Roomba is already doing his part. Seems a cheerful little bugger, especially given that he starts vacuuming at 7:30am thrice weekly and goes at it all day. An hour of vacuuming, then he wanders back to home base, empties out and recharges for an hour, then returns to where he left off and is back to work. Hearing him roam the house is music to my ears.
Even so, I'm plenty butthurt with modern whiz-bang technology priorities. Sure, I'm impressed that humans are blasted up to float in space on a regular basis, but that's old news. It's time for engineers to focus closer to home. Maybe place a "dustba" on the top of their to-do lists and get 'er done?
@Georgiagranny and I will surely be doorbusters to buy them on day one.
Sigh... but not today.
Moving on. I'm looking forward to our company, and the housework shouldn't take more than a couple of hours, so perhaps I shouldn't whine too much. Note: I said "perhaps I shouldn't," not "I won't." Stay tuned. In the meantime, hope you all have a great day!
