Well if get snow, , I just put my down jacket coat on usually, and get in the warm car.. I always wear a hat.
If it's not too cold I'll just wear socks & Knee high boots, with jeans and a normal jacket, and my wool hat .
At home, I wear fleece lined jogging trousers... and a woolly jumper.. again only if the temps are really low, and we'll have the Central heating on as well..but usually only for an hour morning and night, that's enough to keep our house warm.
if it's just low temps instead of putting the heating on we'll just throw fleece throws over our legs while we watch tv..
It has to be freeeeeeeezing outside for me to have the heating on for longer than an hour or 2, or the fire lit in the grate
