I slept more hours than I usually do during the middle of the night and finally woke up about 10:00. I ate breakfast, took my meds, cleaned up the kitchen and started getting ready for my mammography/ ultrasound appointment.

When I got to the registration area I thought oh great there's only one person ahead of me. But when I went to the other side there were a couple more people waiting and there was some sort of backup because we wound up waiting for the ultrasound longer than expected. I amused myself by playing games on my phone while waiting.

My son was off today so I thought he'd be able to take me and pick me up, but he was too exhausted from his trip So I took an Uber there and a Lyft back ( I always check the pricing for both before ordering a ride). Since I had a very busy, tiring weekend, all I wanted to do when I got home was change into my comfy clothes, eat, relax and watch TV. However, after taking a brief nap, I updated two financial spreadsheets.

I finished my taxes this morning. We walked through the Dallas Arboretum this afternoon. The temps were in the lower 70's and perfect and the tulips were in bloom. Then we went and got our flu shots and changed the bulbs in our coach lights. It was a pleasant and productive day.

It is awful. Luckily a friend went out for me yesterday and go me set up with Nyquil and other stuff.
I am a big believer in sleep to ward off colds like tonight I'll go to sleep like midnight but get up like 10 am as only have something to do in late afternoon .

Sleep is great but I know many do not need as much as I do , if you can get sleep get it .

Been sleeping on and off all day for last couple days. You are right....and I am drinking lots of water, too

bin day today troubled is my driveway is quarter of a kilo long - sand based and slightly wet and sticky - drag the bin with little tiny wheels down to the roadside for emptying and then drag it back again empty - bit easier.

nah more like a 100 yds or so ?? - did a re-calibration!! srill too bloody long to drag a bin trolley but they won't bring the refuse van up individual drives - miserable sods!

Well, it's absolutely teeming down here.. My Handyman came just before 9am... but there is no way he can fix the barn roof today, so he's left some of his materials he brought , in the barn for when he gets here on a dry day... very frustrating.. but we can't do anything about the weather.

However he's only just left , he spent and hour and a half chatting over a cuppa tea

After a heavy frost last night, it's looking like a nice day here. I'm changing the sliding door on the polytunnel , which was a right PITA, to a hinged one. On top of that, Mrs.L is finding more 'little' jobs for me to do. At least the strong winds that we experienced for the past few days seem to have gone.

More bills. The insurance for the campervan is due and it's up by 'only' £40. They seem to think they're doing me a favour by charging me more.

Ugh. Wednesday is my osteoporosis pill day. I have to take it first thing with a full glass of water, then nothing for 30 minutes. That means no coffee! I'm counting the minutes. I'll take it until May, six months, then rely on my strength training to build my bones.
That medication has serious side effects if taken more than three years. It takes six months to see a benefit of stopping bone loss so I will stay on it for the minimum, as a jump start, then rely on diet and exercise as a long term plan. I could go on it again in the future if needed.
Not really a big deal with the coffee. In fact, its so much better when I can have it....which is......now!

Did you not have the option of an injection every 6 months and take calcium tablets? The one you are taking is not recommended here, but it might be an individual thing.

My early walk around 7, temp was 34 with a bit of fog. I couldn't;t go around the building because some sidewalks were melting ice due to the warm temps we've had the past 2 days. Instead I walked around the driveway which was clear of ice/snow and sidewalks next to it 5 times
This morning, at 10am Mary&I are going on our weekly 'road trip' to Wegmans, local grocery store, need a couple of items. She'll be getting, magazines,NYT I've finished reading,Sun's {2/23} Buffalo News. She always profusely thanks me for her 'reading' material

I'll be having dinner in dining room tonight at 5:30 with friend, Connie
After dinner, tackle today's NYT crossword puzzle, at 8pm tune in CBS long running reality show' Survivor'. I started to watch the show when it first debuted in 2000, have seen most of the shows not all

After I had my new fibreoptic 150 installed last week. I've been struggling to get both my Amazon echo ( alexa)..and my google home hub nest , updated onto the new phone number & wifi name and p/word..simply because I wasn't the one who set them up in the first place, my soon2Bex did all those IT things.. and he knew I didn't know how to do them

2 days ago I got the Google home hub set up.. that was mine soley... today I thought I'd give the Amazon echo another try.. and lo and behold while trying to set it up, I discover on my phone, that my husband has everything registered to him and his fancy whore palace... even his address on my phone...within the alexa app

he has all sorts of film channels, game channels.. lights, heating, alarms all set .... so I just deregistered the whole lot.. and put his alarm on silent...

He would never in a a hundred years think I could have got in there and done that....

This is the very least he deserves from me
