On my early walk around 7, temp was 20 as I walked around the building 1 time before breakfast
This morning getting a ride with the Gates van, going to drop off my tax forms to my accountant, ask the driver if he can drop me off at Walgreens, a couple blocks away. I need couple of items, may walk home afterwards. I've done it in the past took me 1/2 hr. The sidewalks are clear of ice/ snow now, getting warmer, high today in the 30's
The rest of my day read NYT, having dinner tonight at 5:45 in dining room with 3 friends

I slept in a little bit, so I'm just starting my coffee. I feel like I'm late....but I don't know what I'm late for! 😅

I'm going to take my Mom to the cemetery, to visit my Dad, today. After that we're going to her house and I'm going to do her paperwork, and cook dinner.

She really enjoys when someone cooks for her. Plus, she doesn't mind doing dishes!!! Unfortunately, I hardly ever have time to cook while I'm there because there is so many other things that she needs done.

She always has a list of odd jobs for me to do (like reset her answering machine). If I finish off the list, and there is time, I'm hoping to clean out at least one of her files....she never throws anything away, so it's always a huge project!!!!

It's going to be a busy day.
How do they always manage to turn the answer machine off??? :)

Weather is a lot cooler than forecast, but at least it's dry and I did a lot of tidying up in the garden. Lots of small branches were blown off in the storms and I collected two sacks of them to dry and burn later in the year. I've also started to paint the fence between our garden and the overgrown lane beside it. The fence could do with being replaced, but I've got more important things to spend money on.

Received notification of my state pension. They give with one hand and take away with the other.

Hello, I think. Maggiecat got tired of waiting for breakfast and woke me up at 8.

We had frost last night, and the temp isn't supposed to get past freezing until around 10ish. After that, I'll go out and plant the flowers that I bought on Saturday. If I don't wear myself out doing that, I'll continue digging up monkey grass and transplanting it along a path separating the lawn from the flower garden. It's a chore I started on Saturday and is probably going to take a week's worth of work.

I didn't watch the Oscars because they just don't interest me since I don't go to the talkies.

Lovely weather this morning although still chilly. Have got all the chores done including tidying up and watering the plants, amazing that they have survived all through the winter although, they do have some shelter.

I can't decide what to do this afternoon but, I think I have decided to go for a walk and then put some music on, get my sewing machine out and make something.

Have a good afternoon everyone :)
I've been wanting to make something too, but don't have the supplies for any projects except Barbie clothes, which are going to be mostly hand sewing. Have fun sewing. :)

My photo was once taken outside with the gang. I'll look carefully at those faces @hollydolly. I loved that place, went every day when I should have been making Latin conjugations or something. They were so warm and loving to me, I had so many friends, was invited to private concerts, the memories are so fantastic, the friends I made..........

I thought I'd start spring cleaning. I got out the vacuum and step ladder and that was as far as it got.
Well, I did dust and vacuum the bedroom closet. Took about an hour and a half. Seems like a lot of time for a closet, but there was a lot of items to move out (some on the floor, others on the shelves), dust off, vacuum the rug and replace things.

LOL, Captain. When having a beer, I prefer an ice cold lager. IPAs are too hoppy for me.
When I've been in the U.S. , I've generally been pleased to have found micro-breweries that produced good full flavoured beers. While I miss a good well hopped real ale, I also recon that Belgian Trappist beers are hard to beat. When I was last in Dinant, Belgium (incidentally, the birth place of Adolphe Sax, inventor of the Saxophone ), I visited the Leffe brewery visitors centre and sampled some great tasting beers. Curiously, to buy in the shops there, they were much dearer than in the UK.

Hand sewing is so relaxing. My friend's granddaughter has recently discovered Barbie, I am thinking that it might be fun to make some little outfits for her dolls (y)

I seem to have accumulated quite a lot of fabrics and patterns so, I have decided, it's time to start making things again. :)

Looks like Eminem front left, Bob Dylan far right, and as a stretch, Michael Stipe next to Eminem. Who do you see? 😊
Lindsey Buckingham mid right back.

There a lots of good videos on youtube and Amazon sells these great kits with almost everything a person could need when sewing for Barbie. I have one of the supply kits, but wouldn't you know it, I really want to make some of the outfits clever youtubers are making with socks from the dollar store. So cute!
