I will spend today preparing for yet another tumor removal surgery which happens tomorrow. This will be the third and probably last surgery of this type. After I recover the next step will be organ removal with major lifestyle changes. Starting to get a wee bit discouraged about this whole thing.
Awww llynn.. I'm not in the least surprised you're becoming despondent, you've been through Sooooo much, not fair..... but hang in there , because the world needs all the nice people it can keep, and you've been so stoic throughout all of this ..... and i wish you everything you wish for yourself tomorrow

What a glorious hot sunny day it ended up being this afternoon, still is at almost 4.30pm but the sun has now moved around to the front of the house.. my friend from the next road came over and we chatted in the garden for about an hour with some cold drinks... so warm.. it was 21 deg in my SW facing garden ...

The cherry blossom is out, and this is the tree in front of my house..I went and stood under it to take this pic....

The sad thing is they last for such a short time

Yesterday was laundry day. I put away most of the clothes but have a few more pieces to go which I'll take care of today. I also worked on my taxes a bit yesterday and literally just finished e-filing. I downloaded PDF copies of the fed and state taxes and put them in one of my external drives. At some point, I'll add that updated folder to my SD hard drive as well.

When my son brought the mail in last evening, my new will and living will were among the pieces. I looked over them today and called the attorney firm. This time, a Springing Power Of Attorney was included. It's the first time they included that and I have a question about the wording in one paragraph.

Also, my son's name was misspelled once on the same page that it was spelled correctly twice! What is it with some workers?! Considering it's a legal document, you would think everything would be checked and double checked before sending them out. I'll wait until I hear from the attorney before emailing them with the necessary correction, in case what he tells me requires a change in wording in the above mentioned paragraph.

I was sitting making an order for groceries to be delivered.. and what did I see for the very first time at Tesco....Chicken LIme and Mint Pizza...Lime and mint ?... I hate LImes.. but I'm sure it would be nice for those who like it...

Ewwww @hollydolly. Chicken, lime and mint? I'll pass, thanx.

I got started early digging weeds and got a lot accomplished. Then DD and I went to the garden center to get geraniums for a big pot in the front yard. Four geraniums. That's all I went for. While we were there, DD made all kinds of bedding plants jump into the cart. I know she did it because I could hear her whispering to them. I let them stay because I didn't want to put them back and hurt their feelings.

Next up is transferring $$ from savings to checking. Raising plants is like raising kids...they're always wanting/needing something.

Been a busy couple (only? I'm not sure, things are blurring together) days... work called yesterday, asked me to do an admit in afternoon, which--those of you in the healthcare field know-- lops over into the next day. So I was asleep late, up early, took care of what needing doing and then it was a power nap, from which I just woke up. Now I'm drinking 1/2 a cup of coffee to go with my sandwich to chase the cobwebs outta my head and trying to get a bead on the rest of the afternoon.

Our area is so pretty right now--azaleas, wisteria, and dogwood all blooming at the same time. It's a kaleidoscope of pastel! Some of the azalea bushes get taller than 6 feet and the blooms cover the leaves... it looks like a giant snow ball (the cake). All this stuff blooming is a blessing in another way... Hopefully it will cover some of the ugliness still evident from Helene. I'm waiting impatiently for my tulip poplar to fully leaf out... although 2 of the three trees in my yard are still standing and ok after the storm, there are some branches that were snapped off and they look like a bad amputation... so I'm looking forward to the leaves covering and softening all this damage.

With April fast approaching, I'm hoping to make firm plans to visit my daughter in N Georgia... maybe the weekend of the "Onion Festival" we have every year? It's a good time for the community but if the Blue Angels are going to do a show at the airport, I'm better off out of town... too much noise!

Why did you opt for a springing poa if I may ask?

I hurt all over. I put that down to yesterdays work in the garden, painting the fence, digging, getting the lawn mower up and running etc..
Meanwhile, Mrs. L has been potting up seedlings, sewing vegetable seeds and thinking that she needs a bigger potting shed. I built the current 'pottering' shed many years ago from scrap materials and it was just intended for storing plant pots, garden tools etc... I soon became full to the brim with anything and everything.

The forecast for today isn't so good. It's OK now, but some showers expected late. This doesn't matter too much as we have check-ups with the hygienist and dentist this morning. Our excellent dentist retired recently, and her daughter has taken over the practice. Word is that she's very good - we hope so. We were lucky to find such a good private dental practice as they're few and far between. NHS dentists are virtually unknown here and many private practices stopped accepting NHS work as it didn't cover their costs.

Morning folks.. it's just after 9.30am.. cloudy and only 48 deg currently....altho' the report is for it to be sunny by early afternoo

I've got a delivery coming this morning of a large chest of drawers I bought on Ebay.. brand new, but already built which is important now I can't build them myself.

I hate this trend for build your own furniture....

Well..I'm pretty peed off tbh. The guy turned up with the drawers.. 45 minutes after he said he would be here..wife and kids in the car.. and the drawers were not anywhere near new. The legs were all chipped at the bottom.. and I said , Oh no I'm sorry this isn't what you advertised, you posted pictures of new.. and stated they were in mint condition .. I don't want these. Not paying £200 for these... and he got really abusive...

I just shut the door

Good morning. Had great nights sleep of almost ten hours after being up since two AM yesterday. Starting to be a habit and probably not a healthy one. Everything is weird without my computer. Life upside down without it. if my hands didn't shake so much....
Okay. Enough of my complaints. Promise of a sunny day today so I'll focus on that instead.

It's already daylight, and the only thing I've done this morning was drink a cup of coffee. It's time to get my arse in gear!

There are weeds to dig up, bedding plants to put in the ground, flowers to pot. And stuff. There's a lot of stuff to do, including laundry.

I'll be back later. Gotta get breakfast, dress, do household chores and get my Self out to the garden..

Y'all have a swell day

Good Morning, Everyone 🤗 :coffee:🌻

Husband is feeling a little better, which is great news, though I kind of hope he takes the day off work to rest more. He's off again tomorrow so that would give him three days to rest and shake this thing.

He's sleeping in now, so we'll see.

I have been having fun with my Animal Crossing islands again, of late, watching Riverdale while I play.

Today will be the usual dog walks, households, chatting with my peeps, spin bike, Netflix and gaming.

Hoping everyone has a wonderful day. :)
