Hi, y'all. I'm here. It's been a morning of scrambling. Didn't sleep very well last night (caught that from @hawkdon) and got up at 8, then DD decided the bank and the pharmacy were on her agenda before the rain starts up again. I needed to go to Walmart but was going to wait until tomorrow. DD convinced me to go along to the bank and pharmacy and then go to Walmart. Glad I did, but it made me hurry. I don't like to hurry in the morning. At least I managed to get dressed with all my clothes right side to and not on backwards.

It rained and rained last night, gone for now, expected to come back again for a couple of hours this afternoon, then maybe done until the end of the week and leaving behind very chilly temps. I'll complain about being cold, but it's better than 90F with 75% humidity. And the rain washed away all the nasty pollen for a few days.

@Georgiagranny, just realized that you avoided Covid. You’re the toughest gal in your household.
It was a surprise to me considering that whenever I go anywhere, I'm in the passenger seat next to DD. Another surprise is that DSIL didn't get it, either. He's unvaxxed and gets everdamthang!

However...fingers crossed, and I don't go anywhere in public without a mask.

This is where I've been today....

To the park where the river and the Weir are... and the pub.. all in one place very handy....

it's almost 6pm now I've only been home a half hour... and it's still gloriously sunny.. Almost everywhere was like a ghost town because the children are on school holidays so lots of people would have gone abroad or to the beaches.. so it was great to have the parks all to myself... and the roads were much less manic

On the way back I stopped off to collect a Dual Airfryer that I bought online.. and got a groceries at the same time.

My daughter had the chance to sleep in this AM; I brought her coffee in bed. She needs some pampering 😌

She went off to work and we’ve mostly lazed around the house. Younger granddaughter and I did make an Aldi run. Found some decent Havarti cheese and had a couple slices with 1/2 an apple when we got home.

Daughter should be here soon.. only three patients to see today

I'm in shock CS at you getting Havarti cheese from Aldi..... I love Havarti cheese but I've been unable to find it in any of our supermarkets for years now...from the most budget (Aldi) to the most upmarket... no-one has it....

Saturday we scrambled to get the big pots back in the hot tub surrounded and the milk heater going. Fire place roaring. My polar fleece uniform on. Snow yesterday. Right now - short sleeves.

A friend will stop by after a pre-surgery discussion. Coffee or wine? Dinner is ready and there is always plenty of salame, cheese, flat bread.

Mumsy was bored yesterday. Simply bored as nobody called or visited on a day with high winds, lots of rain and tornado warnings. I called back after a hang up and she had not called. Click. Not much friendlier at our normal call time.

Feathered friends are happy and hungry. A sparrow just chased a starling away which poked his head into the nest box. Mine!

I haven’t had any *decent* havarti since my travel days… Seattle and, of course, rural Michigan spoiled me in the cheese department.

It’s delish, especially with apple slices 🍎🧀

We get it from CostCo and have for awhile now. Probably like everything else from CostCo, in stock until it becomes propular, then a disappearing act.

I know I really love it.. but been unable to get it now for several years... When I'm in Spain or in Greece the vast amounts of cheeses in the supermarkets puts our supermarkets to shame IMO

Like I said, Costco's policy is if it's there bye it, might not be there next time. I think they hand my wife a package at the door just for showing up. Or maybe it comes with the cart. Not sure, it's a mystery.
yes but it's not just costco, it's every supermarket in our country

Yeah @Trila, where are her skates?

@hollydolly Did your new fence panels get installed today and was he able to attach the spikes to the top?

This is gonna be a benadryl night for me as much as I dislike taking that stuff. I just gotta get a whole night's sleep. Gotta.
