How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

Feel good this AM.. exercised and prepped food ahead for today. Fixin' to shower and clean the sides of the tub. Then I'm off to the office where I have to complete some continuing education modules on the office computer. I'll take along a smoothie and some mellow jazz to get me through it lol

Still dreaming (aka scheming) about a road trip... New England? Western Michigan? New Mexico?

I'm going to make Chicken Tzatziki salad for supper so I'll need to stop for a couple things for that...

Y'all have a good day!

A nice day today but we really need rain (not a hurricane or tropical storm). We had a small amount of rain Monday but not enough. My Magnolia plant is really green but only a few flowers.

We went to get some donuts this morning. My husband calls it the Donut Hole instead of Dunkin Donuts. He loves his donuts.

Best wishes to David and hollydolly for your surgeries. And also to all on this forum.

Morning gang !!!!! Up at 530am today, slept pretty well, 'cept
once when I could swore there was someone knocking at the door!!! I hate that!!! Also once thought the phone was ringing....
ah well....just put in my grocery order online, so should be here
about 11am....feeling better aches n pains wise, level is down
to about 25percent pain now...it is 57 de F here now, wish it
would warm up so I can set here and bitch and moan abt the
heat LOL.....possible rain again today....okay catch u later...;):love::coffee::cool:

It' been really hot today... they say it was 78 but I think it felt much hotter.. it's still hot now at 4.30pm...

They can't go any further with my surgery yet, because they need an updated scan last one was a year ago.. they offered me an appoinment for tomorrow morning, but I have a delivery that has to be paid for when it arrives, so I had to refuse and the next avaialble appt isn't until a week Friday.

I stopped at the pub garden on the way back.. this is a pub that is very popular when the sun is shining.. regardless of what day of the week it is.. but today.. almost totally empty and that was at their busiest period.. lunchtime..

The prices of pub drinks and food have just gone sky high now, people are staying away...

Anyway I know some of you like to see my pictures.. so here's the hospital reception area ( very different to the NHS hospitals )...

@hollydolly Is this the fence that you wanted to put anti-squirrel thingies on top? If it is, don't forget to ask him to do that, too.

I'll be "alone" today and probably tomorrow because DD has a big two-part 24-hour turnaround job so will be chained to her desk all day and again tomorrow when part 2 comes in. She also has to work at her away-from-home job tomorrow morning.

It's gonna be a warm but mostly overcast day. I might be inclined to reset a couple of pavers after I deadhead some snapdragons. I know! Life in the fast lane🏎️. It's important to have things to do to keep me out of the bars. Right?
yes same fence... ..I don't know if I should push my luck with him given that he's going to mow the lawns, cut the hedges, install the new fence panel... and repair my mower... .. and he's going to be doing it all in the early evening after a days' work... I think I might be better off leaving that.. for another day... :D

Happy Wednesday, April 30th, SF Peeps! 1/3 of 2025 is already in the books. Crazy how fast time goes, isn't it?

Had a doctor appointment and blood work done yesterday. Apparently the pain I've been having recently is an upper GI issue, so he prescribed some meds and a restricted diet over the next month to try to heal it. Small meals only. Nothing within 3 hours of lying down. But what really hurts? No caffeine, chocolate, or carbonation - including my beverage of choice, club soda.

Bummer.

Today was Mac's day to see a doctor,(Veterinarian ).
Mac weights 26 pounds, got ac heck over , couple of shots.
Bought him couple of NexGard for fleas & ticks.
Back home , took him for walk.

When we waited for our bill at the vets,, Mac got to see & sniff a baby Boston Terrier.
I forgot how tiny teeny they are as babies. 🥰

Hubby feeling better, tried to mow spots he missed in last mowing.
He shouldn't have mowed so long on the old 'junk' mower,,,, more aches.:cautious::sick:

After lunch he's on the sofa & watching TV.

I have some heavy bathroom rugs that will go into the washer ,,soon.

Whatever I see that I think needs cleaned I'll be doing next.

Good wishes to all that will be in hospitals.

StarSong, you eat so well, I'm a little surprised. How much more of a restricted diet can there be?! lol
Hope you feel better soon..

this is why I still have my HH.. I drink caffeine, fizzy drinks and plenty chocolate.

When it was first diagnosed I tried cutting everything out..I still to this day eat or drink nothing acidic, alcoholic, or spicy... but I never could get rid of it...

Well..of course after my busy day... I fell asleep for an hour between 7.30pm and 8.30pm but that's enough to keep me awake half way through the night. Now at 1.40am, I'm wide awake.. lots to think about with regard to my appointment today with the consultant.. ( Professor) .. trying to find things to do to keep my mind off it... for now..

Thanks folks for the encouragement and well wishing. Last few days have managed to keep my thoughts off worry by keeping busy. Today did 3 loads of laundry wash 2 drys including most of my linens that have just been sitting in a closet unused for years. Thoroughly vacuumed two rooms, scrubbed the kitchen floor, soapy sponged washed two sets of window blinds while hanging from the top of my shower.

This evening have to wipe my whole body methodically with special anti-bacterial surgical wipes from a mailed kit then will remain in some loose easy to get out and in from clean linen clothes. My last meal will be yogurt shortly. Note I rarely eat any breakfast. At 9:45am tomorrow have a pint of special juice am supposed to drink within 15 minutes and then will be driven by a brother to be at the hospital at 12:00pm. Only supposed to bring the KP member card, drivers license and smartphone. They are very careful these days.

I haven't been on here for awhile, but missed "seeing" all of you. It's good to be back. I have been mourning the loss of my sister this month, April. She died from Covid, in Greece, after battling stage 4 cancer for over a decade. She had had a heart attack, followed by kidney failure, and a collapsed lung. She overcame each one. We thought there was hope yet. Then Covid hit her at her weakest moment. She was only 69. Her husband is devastated. They were married 50 years. May she Rest In Peace.

Great to see you back... 🥰 so sorry to hear you've lost your sister so young... poor woman, she really got hit with the big stick with regard to serious illness, what a battler and what an absolute pig Covid was to kill her when she'd fought so bravely for her life ... may she Rest with the angels..

It's just astonishing that no-one has been made accountable for Covid..

Another super glorious sunshiney day..... 🌞 🌞 🌞

Today I'm staying home, got the fence being delivered and late afternoon the gardener will be here to do his stuff...

Today would have been my grandfurkid Scruffydoodle's 19th birthday.. many of you will remember him. The most patient dog in the world, would let all the small dogs do anything to him...He died of a stroke..at 13... I have his ashes buried in my garden with a little plaque on the shed wall
