I'll be going to the gym later, and then to the little grocery store. My Mom will meet up with me there.

My Mom broke the case on her cell phone.
(It's the cheap manufacturings fault, of course....not the fact that she is rough on anything she touches!!! 🙄)

The phone store is just across the street from the grocery store, so I will go there with her, while Dio goes to run his errands and home.

I don't plan on staying in town with my Mom, since I have some stuff I want to get done at home. So when we are done taking care of Mom's phone needs, I'll get a ride home with her.

A HUGE tragedy for us. Yesterday our son collapsed and died. We assume it was a heart attack. He was 50 years old.
We've got all sorts of things to do, so you'll understand that I wont be posting for a while, probably not till the New year
I know that your love and condolences will be with us at what should be a happy time of year.
Love, Capt Lightning.
Oh my goodness, @Capt Lightning. Please accept my sincerest condolences on the loss of your son. I will be holding you and your family close in prayer. I'm so sorry.

To All Parents (Edgar Guest)

“I’ll lend you for a while a child of mine,” He said.
“For you to love the while he lives and mourn for when he’s dead.
It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two or three,
But will you, ’til I call him back, take care of him for me?
He’ll bring his charms to gladden you, and should his stay be brief,
You’ll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief.

I cannot promise he will stay; since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn.
I’ve looked the wide world over in My search for teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd life’s lanes I have chosen you.
Now will you give him all your love, not think the labor vain,
Nor hate Me when I come to call to take him back again?

I fancied that I heard them say, “Dear Lord, Thy will be done!
For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we’ll run.
We’ll shelter him with tenderness, we’ll love him while we may,
And for the happiness we’ve known, forever grateful stay;
But should the angels call for him much sooner than we’ve planned,
We’ll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand."
