The rain is over! I'm not sure how much we got, but I was expecting an Ark to go by!

My trails are a swampy disaster, but as of today, they will have plenty of sunshine to help them dry up.

The good thing about the rain is that it thawed the driveway!!! This means that we have a good chance of going skating tomorrow!!

I hope we get to go....we are planning on going to a new rink. It's a little bit closer to home, with a better drive.
 
Woke up, and snow management is the leading expectation for the day. We got about 7 inches overnight, and it's still coming down. Which is good. In this region, if snow doesn't accumulate enough up on the mountain ridges, things get dry in summer (i.e., more likely to be threatening wildfires below, where people live).

Snow is expected for the next few days. I'll be out there with a snow scoop and the snowblower from time to time. Other things will fit around that, and probably go on as normal.

You may have to move a bit slower but you are moving!
 
A beautiful and sunny day. Breakfast with coffee, cinnamon rolls and two curries - SO and Izzi. What can go wrong after that:)

I grabbed grapefruit instead of oranges yesterday. Smuggling one into son's morning fruit salad did not go well. It looks like grape fruit juice for me for a couple of days. oh well!
He is in his home away from home dealing with toy malfunctions. How do you end up with a piece of rock in the action? One of humanity's unanswered questions.
Mumsy has been feeding three stray cats since it got cold. Apparently they got most of her meat and eggs after SIL commented about her grocery spending. It is her money! SO sent 20 pounds of kibble last night. It is an awful situation.
Sister of a good friend passed yesterday at 89. A strong woman, teacher in small town USA, part of a large and supportive family who lived her life and everyone accepted it.
A little bit of house stuff then getting prettied up. Our Friday's are coming to an end:(

Snow today. This time it’s going to last. The ski hills will appreciate a top up.

Hung pictures in DH’s room. I’m notorious for being indecisive about these things. When we moved here 20 years ago I had to give away a lot of art and I still had some leftovers that I’d forgotten about stored in the basement. I never missed a local art show.

This is something I would have bought, if the price were right. I love her attitude.

🎶 It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood 🎶

Finished documenting at office on admit I did yesterday, home now eating lunch Al Fresco— it’s in the 70’s and there’s a pleasant breeze. I see my daffodils are coming up along with hyacinths and crocuses (the pic below is last year)

Opened the windows to let the house air out.

Y’all have a good afternoon
