I'm at the southern edge of a balmy rain storm, so cloudy, 61F now at 1pm with some scattered showers today.

This morning received a text message from BofA warning of a couple suspicious pending modest charges on my BofA Visa account. So called the bank security department that took care of that blocking my card and is sending out a new card. Just another reason I refuse to use online banking. BofA is very proactive guarding my 4 accounts that I much appreciate.

After skiing Tuesday Wednesday, days 7&8 this winter, am now waiting for the major Atmospheric River (AR) Pacific storm to dump several feet of snow at my Tahoe ski resorts before returning later this next week. Snow skiing at my elite level is such incredibly enjoyable fun! Another reason I feel so incredibly lucky to live in this modern era.
 
I think my neighbours have decided I need feeding up.. they've just brought around a whole platter of mixed grilled meat and fish.. the platter is huge.....

On there are 3 large BBQ'd sausages, a large Lamb steak, 2 chicken wings , an indeterminable hot pepper sauce... and a whole fish...I think it's Mackerel.. I really can't stand mackerel.. the mackerel has just literally been cooked and is piping hot.... and of course I'm not going to tell them I hate the fish

The trouble is it was 9.30pm when he brought it round.. so I'd already had my dinner unfortunately....so the fish aside.. all of it has had to go into the fridge for tomorrow and probably the next day as well ..

Including the pancake desserts they sent around as well...

You're in upstate New York. It's beautiful but snowy.
I remember in Colorado that as soon as I finished the driveway, I would have to start again.

I can't believe that I was on Senior Forums for two hours starting just before midnight! Also early this morning I finished putting away Deja's food from the Walmart haul. I did a little accounting and wound up falling asleep with the tablet in my lap. I slept for a good part of the daylight hours, which blew my intention to do another two loads in my mini washer. Tomorrow is another day.

And here I am again...spending at least another hour here. I also had some things to catch up with on Facebook.

It's just past 7am, I've been up since 5.30am...they say it's going to be a sunny day... but it's a white-out currently every car is covered in solid ice... 0 deg 🥶🥶 It's still dark.... so we'll see what happens..

I'd like to go out today , but my new chair was supposed to be delivered yesterday.. and it didn't arrive , so I have a feeling I might get a notification that it's arriving today which will mean I'll have to stay home..


This week the soon2BX has been slyly taking money from me.. and equally I can see that he's spending money on expensive items.. much of it is told to me by my Amazon echo ( Alexa)..it will tell me he's bought Orchids today.. every day in fact for the last week.. and all sorts of other things, and it's driving me nuts, so I believed I can't change Alexa to only my account because he has the joint password, so I don't hear any of that spending, while he's pleading poverty through the courts.. but my daughter has shown me the way to change it so I never get to know what he's spending money on...

before anyone asks there's nothing to be gained through the divorce procedures by me knowing what he's spending on..it's just distressing me..

If this had been a year ago before I'd agreed to a settlement, then I could have used this against him.. but not now... so it's best I hear nothing of what he's spending..

Morning earlywormers!!!! I awoke at 3am, now 430am, so obviously I could not go back to sleep durn it.....groan, gonna
be a long day, with many attempts at a nap....38F here this morn
and going into mid 50's F later today, no precip tho....oh and
first thing I did was spill coffee on the keyboard here !!!!

Almost 11am here , the sun is shining, but the ice is staying vigourosly on the cars and hedges

I've managed to get 2 rooms upstairs changed over furniture this morning, which gives much more space for me in my bedroom, so I'm pleased about that. However it means I'll have to take one chest of drawrs to the recycle centre.. it will be a bit of a trial getting the drawers donstars by myself.. much less carry them out to the car, even with the drawers removed, but I'll have to do it.
I could go this morning, but I can't be bothered scraping ice off for just that journey so probably tomorrow

I burned my hand quite badly this week, and it's only just getting better, so the skin is now peeling off...

Family dinner day. Lots to do. I think I'm cooking twice what I need but I will not have to cook all week.
We're having Sweetheart Chicken. An old recipe using chicken breast, cranberry sauce, Catalina dressing, and Lipton onion soup mix. I made my own cranberry sauce and Catalina but will use the soup mix. It sounds strange but I promise it makes a delicious sauce to put on rice. All kinds of sides. Mussels for DIL as she is not eating meat.
Starting with coffee......

It looked like a nice morning, but there's a cold wind reminding me that it's still winter. Nevertheless, we wrapped up and drove to town to tank up the car, have a walk on the beach and pick up a few things in Lidl. When I say a few things, I mean that we came away with a trolley full of bits and pieces.

I'm cooking a beef roast this evening - half price in Tesco, otherwise it would be a very expensive meal. Right, it's back to work. Logs to chop, vegetables get from the garden and I could do with washing the car after a load of seagulls crapped on it.

No I can't, see this is the problem..HE has the password and won't give it to me. When he left he changed the password which stopped me being able to comtrol Alexa to turn lights on and off, heating and so on.. my lawyer asked his lawyer to get the password, and he refused, he said he hadn't changed it..just another lie. So now my daughter has said I'll need to factory reset it, and I can then start it back up using a new password, and I won't then get any meesages pertaining to him and his spending.. and he will no longer be any part of my set-up

@hollydolly Since Alexa has nothing to do with how much money he's going to have to part with, why does he even care? What an arse! He needs a good dose of ugly toenail fungus and warts, not to mention a "social disease."

I've been to the garden center to get MossOut and have already treated the darned moss. Also got lawn soil and fescue seed. Will spread the soil and reseed tomorrow. Then back to the garden center to rent a roller to roll it. Maybe after two seasons of no fungus, it won't be back this year. If it reappears, I'm not even going to try to get rid of it. I'd rather spend money on flowers.
