After my Honorary Daughter and I had a conversation about having our go bags ready, I realized I hadn't completed packing mine. But Deja's is ready. HD thought it was so cute that our cat's go bag is ready. 😸 I have fall/winter clothes for that purpose prepacked in a Space bag, so all I had to do was recheck it's contents and reorganize my small suitcase to fit it and other necessities in. I also made chocolate "mousse" low sugar pie.

mORNING ALL GRAYLINGS!!! Trila I am now streaming tv as
the cable got so $$$$, so I have big choice....watched more of
Longmire yesterday, then followed up with Bitten....lol...maybe
thats why my sleep has gone to hell....no big plans for the day

I just figured out that it was Monday....I woke up thinking that it was Coosday/Tuesday!!!!!

We are thinking of going to the gym today. We want to go while we can.
The bad weather is expected to start this evening and will probably continue for at least a week. There is a good chance that after today, we will not be leaving the property for a while.

Good thing I stocked both freezers. I'm going to be well fed! 😅🙃😂
 
Good morning, Invisipeeps (and Graylings, too, of course). I got up shortly after 7 but only because Maggie employed head buts. She has now been fed and watered.

The best part of my coffee-drinking and getting the heart started this morning was when I turned on the HD radio and Haydn's trumpet concerto was playing. Oh, my! To ever have played like that... >le sigh<

Now I'm thinking about what's next. Ugh. The usual morning tidying up and stuff and hoping that the blue hair stuff gets here today.

It's supposed to be a chilly and overcast week with bands of rain. @Trila They're saying a week's worth of crappy weather, then another week's worth of 🥶 weather! With frost and stuff! Eek. Frost.

Thirty eight days until spring. Count 'em 👉 38👈 count 'em.

Yippee! I just realized that I don't have to go to another doc appointment until December. Woohoo and stuff. I guess you gotta be really old to get excited about such a thing. (I'm really old!)

@debodun Are you gonna do like me and fritter your return away on foolish pleasures? LOL I've already got both my fed and state refunds. Flowers. Gonna use it for flowers.
 
It's absolutely filthy here.. the AI in my home keeps telling me there will ''showers''.. showers my arm... it's torrential and has been for 3 days now... and it's flooding my barn.. I've put down towels, got the dehumidifier on, and the radiator on low to try and keep things dried out .. but now at 4.20pm it's almost dark due to the rain.. ..everyone's porch lights are on because it's so dark..


@Georgiagranny ..yes you must have missed me gigi..I was on this morning.... :love:
 
I've decided after stressing about my upcoming surgery after the events that occurred last time, that I'm going to have it done at a private hospital. I just can't go through the possibilty of all of that happening again in March...that happened in january

I still have to ask my Doctor to refer me to the private hospital of my choice, but tbh I think for my own peace of mind that's the route I'm going to take.. then there will not be any question of ''No beds''

yes it is... but I cannot bear this waiting, then going through all the motions on the day with surly nursing staff, then being sent home at the end of the day..I can't face that again, and there's no gaurantee it won't happen again..in fact there's just as much of a likelihood... and also currently the NHS hospitals are over-run by cases of Flu and norovirus ... I just can't afford to get that as well while recovering from surgery

yep I've given it some serious thought, and decided for all the above reasons, I need to pay for private surgery ...also the private hospital is closer to my town....
 
My early walk at 7 this morning,temp was 25 ,was able to walk all the way around the building,for the 1st time in about a week, due to sidewalk was covered in ice
I was at the bus stop at the end of Gates driveway,waited 5 min ,perfect timing. I went to small plaza to Super Cuts hair was getting too long,last time I was there Sept. I didn't;t have an appt, waited 20min,they do accept walk ins. Then walked to the $store bought a couple of items. I walked to the stop turned around the bus coming, got back within an hr
The rest of my day,hope to take afternoon walk, read NYT, made my dinner reservation for 5:30. I have no idea who I'll be sitting with
 
Tomorrow I have my internet povider engineer coming to fit a new fibre optic into my house... then later this month a new upgraded, top of the range system into my house.

All of this costs much less than it currently costs because all of it is still in the Soon2bex's name, so now I'm changing it all over into my name, I get the ''new customer'' rate.. despite having been their customer for 20 years..or more.. and the new monthly rate will remain the same for 2 years

It is so unnerving to hear of your battles with NHS. It should be there for you, not forcing you to make such an expensive decision. I'm angry on your behalf. Best of luck for you in your choice to go ahead on your own. Hugs. Yes, very distressing news that you can't depend on NHS. Very disturbing.

See this is the major problem for us all in the uk regarding the NHS.. we've paid for it all our lives directly from our salaries, but those who have never paid, and immigrants legal or illegal are also entitled to free treatment, so they are absolutely filling up the hospitals.. they're using it like a general practitioner ( GP)...further to that the govt are just not building new hospitals to meet the demand.. we have just 2 NHS hospitals in this county for a million and a half people.. each hospital only has 700 beds...
