Hubby & I spend 3 hours fixing ice maker leak in our fridge !!

Hard for hubby to get his arms above his head.
Of course the lines were over his head..

To find matching parts was , run to one store , than to another.

Did get to clean up in back of fridge, after we got it out of it's corner.

Found the booklet that came with the fridge,,, dated 2003.

some more from today...

@Irishdude, glad you're feeling better. @Pepper, same for you - and I sure hope you'll be well enough to take care of your GS again very soon. 🤗

@hollydolly, I love the color of the chair that's soon to be yours.

@Georgiagranny, hoping for more winter around here. Two days of rain aren't enough to get us through the rest of the year. It's looking like we'll get a small amount Tues evening through Weds morning, but that's about it in the 10 day forecast.

Almost the end of January. Where does the time go?

Hope all have a good day!

I'm pleased that so many of you like the Royal Blue chair...:giggle:. I just felt that if I got the sofa, it would just be too much in the one smallish room.... so the chair was the compromise... It should be here in the next few days..

You did it!

All shoes have cedar shoe trees and are in clear boxes in the ceiling high shelf. Boxes fit perfectly. No wasted space. Boots have cedar shoe trees and shaft holders. SO angered the ceiling high project into the studs several times.

Car detailer goop is perfect for getting settled dust out of tiny crevices of carvings, furniture and such!

Grocery run is stashed away.

An old friend who call to complain for an hour. She never does anything about her perceived or her real problems.

Get to my next project:)

@StarSong You dusted? On purpose? No planning? No warning? I can't do that. I'd be so traumatized! I have to think on it for a while, then decide which day to do it and hope I don't wake up that day with a case of oh-look-shiny!

Having admitted all that, I've had it in my head for a few days now that because it's supposed to rain tomorrow, it might be a good day to undertake the dreaded chore. It's still an idea under advisement. Stand by.

And while I'm thinking of it, good luck with your rain. After tomorrow, we're done for a few days with temps in the 70s.

Somehow, I don't really believe that we're done with winter here.

You'll hate me but I have dusted my entire house this week to the point of running a portable air cleaner while I did it to catch any runaway dust. It feels good. 🛋

Today, it looks like I'm taking the new TV back to the shop. The picture is OK, but there's a problem with the sound. There's a sort of high pitched distortion on speech and it's really irritating. Unlike the last TV which had good sound quality, this set has all sort's of settings, none of which improve matters. How come nothing is straightforward these days?

Good luck! Hope you get it sorted.

The speakers are on the back on most TVs these days making the sound not what your used to. Some people get a sound bar or speakers that help. But, more money, unfortunately.
Or, you just got a lemon. That would be better.

About 10 years ago I spent a long time looking at reviews for TV's.. before I chose the one I have now. My O/H was very impressed..him being the techncal one, and continued over the years to say what a great choice I'd made ...which is why I'm terrified of it breaking down.. because I don't thin there are any TV on sale nowow which is a good as this one.. in the same price range...

If it's any help to you at this late stage...have a look at this UK tv repair guy he gives honest reviews on which brands are good and bad

It smells like tornado and is 60F. Eek. AFAIK, there's nothing in our forecast for tornadoes. We are supposed to get heavy rain and thunderstorms starting later this morning, though.

I woke up in quite a snit this morning. I dreamed that I'd volunteered at some sort of group living thing...it wasn't a nursing home or assisted living.

There were several community-type rooms, and one was a dining room that was being decorated for Christmas. There were round tables that we set with holiday tablecloths and napkins, china, crystal, silver and with pretty centerpieces.

All the people were already seated.

There was a very light artificial tree about 6 ft tall that I'd decorated. Somebody decided that it shouldn't be in the dining room and asked me to move it. Before I could do that somebody else decided that the ribbon that had been wound around it was too heavy and needed to be removed to make it lighter. (Remember, the tree was already very light.)

So I started at the end of the ribbon and was unwinding it when a man came along and grabbed the "too-heavy" ribbon out of my hands. I reached down and picked up the tree at the base and started to walk out of the room with it when a nun (yup, a nun!) took it away from me. I kept politely protesting that it wasn't a problem and I could manage. Nope. They just kept nudging me out of the way and giving me condescending, "poor thing" looks.

I got really frustrated and testy and for whatever reason had a pair of scissors in my hand. Horrors! I threw them on the floor in a corner and left. The man and the nun decided that I was dangerous and shouldn't have "sharps."

There was really no reason to be treated like a little old lady. I mean, I stand upright (not stooped), no dowager's hump, don't shuffle, no tremors.

So what was that weird dream all about. Geez. I'm still annoyed!

I'm gonna dust today. There will be breaking news here when it has been accomplished so keep your eyes on this space.

On my early walk around 7 it was lightly raining temp was 37 as I walked around the building one time
Yesterday, Marcia called asking if I could dog sit my 'buddy boy', Tage {pharoh hound} for couple hrs, she's taking a friend out to lunch south of the city. She's picking me up at 9:45,as usual I'll be bringing his favorite lunch- tuna fish, petite carrots, an apple. A perfect way to end the month, along with having dinner with my friend, Connie in dining room at 5:30 with 2 other residents I know &like

Morning all, its friday yay....LOL,,,,,getting kinda springlike here
but I know it is a false one....rain a bunch last eve, and getting
ready to rain again....44F going to 50f today....I'm very bummed
out about the COPD breathing issue i have....it gets so bad in
the morning esp that I unlock front door in case i call emerg
services....I just cannot move quickly, or do any prolonged task
any longer with out it causing me to gasp for air dammite.....
Funny that the visiting nurse yesterday told me I was in very
good shape for my age, but i feel like crasp.......later...

Pouring rain here in RVA. Felt better and wound up hanging pictures at my daughter's house yesterday afternoon. Feel semi-normal today so will walk a half hour on the treadmill at the gym and take a long hot shower. Will draw and/or read in the afternoon.

Still looking for a volunteer activity that suits me. I helped serve a few lunches to the homeless and got Covid, so my wife doesn't want me to do that anymore. I might see if I can volunteer at the local art museum, which is a very good one.

Dreams are sooo wierd!
I have never smelled tornado but I can definitely smell when a storm is coming from the coast, two hours away.
