@hollydolly, Bill Maher’s podcast guest, Winston Marshall who was formerly with Mumford & Sons described the medical and overall situation in Britain exactly as you have. My British friends who are in regular contact with family back there describe it the same way. Everyone is afraid to do anything for fear of being called racist.
Exactly that... and the racist thing is not just about being afraid to be call it.. but you can and people do get arrested for it... for something as simple as menioning someone's race or colour..it's a horrible situation here... everyone walks on eggshells ..there is no freedom of speech here any more

Mornin' Peeps... today started off very overcast.. but it's brightened up now at just after midday..

My meatbox from Scotland arrived this morning.. so I'm pleased about that.. another one day and I would have returned it...

@dilettante ..tulips here have been out for a while.. there's some spectacular shows.. like these at the garden centre that I took this time last year...

My friend Mary has a bad cold, talked to her yesterday, she sounds better but is still not 100%.
The rest of my day take another walk, tonight eating in the dining room with Connie & 3 other residents, this is our weekly get together. We started doing this about a month ago, always good conversation

So. DD ordered a little garden ornament for me that USPS said was delivered last
week. It wasn't. She called the company, and they refunded her money. She was going to reorder yesterday only to discover that the price had gone up by $56! The original price was $16. Needless to say, she bought another one but not that one. $56? Aren't tariffs fun? This was just something fluff. What's going to happen when it's food or meds?

Laundry has been started. Yay me. I have to hurry up and do what I do in the garden so I can put gardening duds in the wash today.

Now that the planting is done, it's just the dressing-up details to finish. I'm going to spread more mulch this morning...the one sack I have left from yesterday and as many of the sacks given to me by DD as I can manage before I wear out.

Where I live in Scotland is 400 miles north of London, so the growing season is a couple of weeks later. Mrs. L has been busy preparing the borders for a variety of flowers. I've been cutting the grass and digging the vegetable beds - hard going in places, but I can't really justify a mechanical 'rotavator'.
what type of soil do you have there?

here I have a Loam type of soil , which is a bit stoney.... ..it grows pretty much anything easily...

The next village and town have clay soil.. that's horrible....

Welp. Looks like my intentions are greater than my physical ability to get hard labor things done. I managed one sack of mulch. Guess that's it for the day.

There are lots of flowers in bloom. I love spring:love: when it's warm enough for flowers but not too hot yet to sit outside and admire them.

I slept in. I'm just sitting down with my coffee....not really awake yet. 😴💤💤💤

Yesterday was a busy one for me. I started out by cleaning the interior of the car. I planted 220 crocus bulbs (there were supposed to be 100 bulbs in the package) then took a break and worked on my photos a little bit. I also washed dishes. Dio and I put in the window air conditioner and rearranged the furniture for the house plants summer location. I'm sure I did more things, but my brain is still muddled right now.

Most likely we will go to the gym today.....if I ever wake up.

"They" are talking rain later in the day, so we'll probably just make a quick stop at the small grocery store, then come home when we are done.

Bad night...pain. Truck needs tires. In town 1st thing today. @hollI am starting oxcarbazepine this week. Keep those fingers crossed. All the best to all of u! :)
sorry about the pain you're suffering now... ..but cheering for you getting the Carbamezapine.. now be aware this takes a few weeks to work... so take painkillers when you need them during that time.. but I'm so pleased you've got the correct medication... be brave the pain will soon be very much lessened 🤗

If for some reason I am not allowed to discuss this with you - ignore. But are people seriously getting arrested for religious beliefs and such?

I like that! I wish that my neighbors were a bit closer so that we could hang out sometimes.

Yay! I got my stitches out this morning and I no longer look like a dozen little spiders are crawling around on my nose. It looks a lot better than I had feared. It's never going to be the same nose but I don't think dogs will bark, small children will run screaming and pregnant ladies will faint at the sight of me.

They said in six months, we'll discuss dermabrasion or whatever else might help.

What are your scar care instructions?

It spring bloom time of year for our urban rose garden. Well about 2 weeks from peak. Weather forecast was for 52F at 7am, relative calm breezes under 4mph, and overcast clouds for good even diffuse light, early morning. Thus this morning at sunrise, for the first time this year, drove the 3.7 miles and toured the garden while setting up for 7 subjects. Back home was able to post process 4 of the 7 modest image sets per below screen captured off Adobe Bridge.

View attachment 418457

On two other subjects I'd incorrectly used a 6mm lens extension close-up ring to get closer to a subject but only checked the lens could focus on the nearest subject element while gambling, not bothering to check the furthest element was within lens rotational adjustment range. Another image I manually triggered a stop before I should have. My focus bracket function is set to 50 shots maximum. Flowers are not going anywhere but do change a bit day to day. Because tomorrow is similar weather and every day I wake up is Saturday, , I'll go back at sunrise tomorrow, and re-set up the shots.

What the center frame area of the last image looks like at 100% pixels with this crop:
