My nephew and his S.O. picked me up, picked up my sister then doubled back to get their son (who wasn’t ready when they left) so we could go to brunch. My sister was so surprised to see me. They go every Saturday and this is the first time I’ve gone with them. I asked my nephew to pick me up sometimes because every time we talk, my sister says that she and I have to get together and go to the mall or go have lunch. She has dementia and forgets that neither of us drives anymore. .

The restaurant is a few towns away…a little place my sister says she and her husband had been going to since her children were little (my nephew must be nearing 60). All the staff were young people though. The service and food were very good. I had pancakes and scrambled eggs. And no they did not impose an extra surcharge for the eggs. Since I invited myself, I was going to pay for my meal but my nephew wouldn’t hear of it. The rest of the day was for having a couple phone conversations and for relaxing.

My 6 y/o grandson scored a homerun this afternoon.

My son-in-law is cutting weeds; I wish he had more time helping me...........Termites killed an Oleander Bush

Squirrels are cute but are also a destructive nuisance...........Hawks are building their annual nest on our Palm Tree.

For the first time, two of my 3 Boxers dogs suffered greatly from allergies they caught in the garden. Almost every year,
we have different weeds. Now I have to figure out which ones are causing the problem. Benadryl calmed the allergies.

We had rain in the forecast but got only some drizzle. For the last 12 months, I measured 3 6/10" of rain at our house
(normal is 12".) That drought caused the awful fires in Los Angeles earlier this year.

To strengthen my bones in case I fall, my PCP prescribed Alendronate Sodium. But it gave me muscle pain in my thighs.
So now he gave me Ibandronate Sodium tablets. If that causes problems, then he wants me to try Prolia. I take it seriously
because I believe in the benefits of pro-active healthcare.

Our two chickens give us more eggs than we need. So, we don't have to buy the expensive eggs imported from Denmark.

I posted a sad face for you @hollydolly because I don't want to chance hugging you and making your back hurt more.

It's morning. I was going to make sausage biscuits, but I'm lazy and don't have any biscuits in freezer to use. I'll have Cheerios and fruit instead.

No plans for today. No achievements so far (not even dressed yet). Wait! I "achieved" a cup of coffee on the teeny, tiny patio. I might decide to clean up some leaves from the magnolias. Dang! I love those trees, but they sure are messy.

I was outside early and a weird noise startled me. Who knew that ducks will sometimes roost up in a tree? It came waffling down to the ground quite noisily, gathered it's wits, then quacked away walking slowly.

There is no permanent water close to me and the rain ponding has long soaked in. Though it isn't far to a large "drain" stream or a small lake in the other direction it still surprises me how often I have ducks here.

Chilly morning and the succulent grass must be tempting. Probably some emerging bugs and worms as well. I'd do my first mowing tomorrow but a doctor appointment in the middle of the day messes things up, so Tuesday.

Morning all folks.....slept in so I'm late LOL...at least thats how
I feel when I bypass the 3/4 am wake time...left foot is maybe
50% better today, so still hurt but not major, hoping it heals

This morning as the sky was just getting light, I grabbed a cup of coffee, wrapped up in my fluffy robe and went out to the yard swing. SO many different birdsongs serenading me. Squirrels waking up and chattering in the live oaks. It was cool out, and absolutely beautiful. My (gremlin) chihuahua perched on my lap, and the shepherd/malinois in the seat beside me. God met me in the garden today. 🥰

It's known as a Mackerel sky... the north of England and Ireland where there's much more rain than here in the south.. see these types of skies often

First time I ever saw Ducks roosting up a tree, was about 20 years ago at the George Harrison Hare Krishna Temple which is near where I live...

It was just starting to get dusk, and I saw them all fly into the tree... I'd never seen that before. they wouldn't seetle for the night while I was there so I had to leave them... but the branches where they were sitting was quite high
