Welp! Looks like there will be no skating for me today.....it just won't stop raining!

Even my garden is tired of it, and things are starting to get moldy and rotten. This is just NOT right!! In my area, the average rainfall for April and May is around 4.5 inches, each. This year, we had over 15 inches in April, and over 11 inches in may!! And it's still coming down!! 😕

Yes, @hawkdon, you were missed . Glad you're back up and running.

@hollydolly That gardener must be one of those people who lives in the "now." If he has money today, nothing else is important.

I dunno what's on my agenda today. There are things that need to be done in the garden, but I dunno if I'm feeling it.

DD was chained to her computer Thursday afternoon and all day yesterday so all I've had for company is my laptop and Maggiecat.

DSIL is off today, and he and DD are going out to lunch, then shopping for some presentable clothes for his job. He's got two or three work trips coming up and needs to look...yanno...presentable.

@Trila, it has rained way more than usual here, too, and the garden is starting to look pretty ragged. Too much rain is helpful with the water bill, but not so much for the flowers. We're expecting rain every day until at least Thursday.

I live in a one bedroomed 'grannyflat' in the middle of an 8 acre woods. there is not a lot of gardening to do! I have one dawg - a bull Arab -black and white mottles who is very clean mostly but no matter how I try [ and I don't very hard?] I can never keep the flat very clean and tidy - and I haven't mentioned my single bedded bedroom and pc office /combined - that's no better??

I can never keep the interior clean and tidy - one large dining room including kitchen and - kitchen working top - one shower/one toilet and washing machine and drying rails in the attached garage - I ignore the garage - but my conclusion over a life time is that women are continuously tidying as they go always and sometimes get some help but without out still manage to stay on top of it all. Take a bow ladies and other other additional tips would be grateful [that don't involve work?}

Good morning, it is so sunny now but might cloud up later. It will be 94 degrees today.

I went to the store yesterday for a few items. The store was crowded but walking up to the entrance a car behind me honked at me as if they wanted me to walk faster, there are no sidewalks so have to go in lane with drivers. I am not a spring chicken so could not walk faster. They sped around me when they could as if they were not happy.

Wishing you all well and a pleasant day. :)

I was in my garden at 6:30. It's going to storm this afternoon so I need to make some progress. DH went to urgent care to see if he can get some relief from this crud. He still has a mild fever. Hope he doesn't bring something else home! 😮
I'm also sneakily using this time that he's gone to do some garden chores about which, he will get his panties in a bunch.. He'll say he was going to do them. Trust me he would but I can't wait years. He's a wonderful man but a world class procrastinator. They won't be done to his standards but they'll be done. Progress not perfection. 😊

we have the same here at my local supermarket where I shop...no kerbs or pavement for pedestrians to walk, so we have no option but to walk on the same road as the cars in the Car Park.. and yes some of them can be very impatient, I've seen it..

It seems to have been a long day today.

Maybe because its been storming since this afternon, and the skies have been very dark... or maybe because I cleaned the house right through yesterday and so it left me nothing to do..I don't know ...it's just past 9.30pm now...
It was a continual spit rain, get wet in 15 minutes, wait a while and repeat all day.
10 pm tonight is a different Puppy. Hold tight with an Umbrella near is probably wise.
Northern Mo and Illionois had a fast-moving storm earlier this morning.
The Mississippi is close to topping its banks and Cloud burst may cause problems.

With the forecasts we changed our weekend plans and stayed St. Louis area.

today for us it's been very heavy rain, heavier than we've had for months.. strong winds as well... soaked everything in minutes

Today was amazing! I went to Honorary Son #3’s studio to start working on a track. Before we got started something happened that had me laughing hysterically. He’s learning that his new Honorary Mom is crazy.:ROFLMAO: We hit some technical snags and right about the time we were trying to figure things out, my son called and told him he wanted to come over.

My son was able to show HS (red shirt) how to fix the snags and proceeded to give him a much needed lesson in finding and using all the “bells and whistles” in Logic. Since he was coming I asked if he'd bring the portable table for the midi keyboard so I can use it. Even though our studio session didn’t go as planned, what transpired will make moving forward a lot easier and more efficient. Kudos to my baby for saving the day!! Also it looks like he's going to be collaborating too...something we've been hoping for.

HS#3 was going to remove vocals from a song I’ve loved for years, but stopped playing because of some of the words. They are not vulgar but the concept….won’t go into it now. HS#3 didn’t remember how to do it, so my son showed him how to not only remove an entire vocal track, but keep the vocals that I like. I’m in musical heaven right now! 🎶 😇

As if things couldn’t get any better, I came home, took a nap and went back for the broadcast. The special guest tonight was on🔥🔥 ‼️He approached a difficult subject about struggling with the Jekyll-Hyde war within with grace and power, while making himself vulnerable. He came with his wife and afterward, we started talking about PTSD, postpartum depression, being sexually abused, not being afraid to get much needed counseling and it went deep. From that we decided to do a round table discussion on the show with all of us in two weeks because these are such important topics. Monumental day!

Today is supposed to be another rain day, running into tomorrow. So far, it's clear and sunny.....what do "they" know?!!!! 🙄

I'm happy to have them wrong!

The rain has stopped and it's a Sunny day.

Gardener texted me and said he'd be around tomorrow morning... I told him don't bother ! I don't want him any more..

I really will have to get to see a doctor... my arm is so painful, I could hardly sleep , and trying to lift it is agonising, I have to physically lift my right arm using my left hand so it's not excrutiating..

Good morning, really hot this morning 77 degrees at 6:00. No rain but maybe a stray shower or thunderstorm.

Went out yesterday to get a pizza and a lady waiting beside me offered a walker she had in her car. I didn't think I looked that frail, but I did thank her.

I wish a good day on this Sunday for everyone.
