I forgot to say today when I was killing time waiting for the Bank teller, I had a mooch around the Hospice Charity shop. I donate a whole load of stuff to them every few weeks to their warehouse .. but I rarely go in any of the shops.... so today I did... and I got a brand new Large 16in x12 in... bevelled mirror photo frame...like this( without the picture) still all in it's original packaging ..£25.00 down £6.00

It's another wet day here... it might dry up later, but I'm not concerned cuz I did all my outdoor running around yesterday...

MY right arm is agony this morning.. I wonder if I caused it by carrying a few items yesterday.. not much, but might have been enough to irritate it. I'm not sure how to deal with this now.. it's been about 2 weeks since I damaged the muscle with all the garden work, I've used ice packs, heat.. and Painkillers, but it's not going away..

Have a good Thursday Folks....

Morning all, on my early walk at 6:50 temp was 64 ,cloudy as I strolled around the building once before breakfast
Last night as I was eating my dinner at 6pm,was watching local news on my new TV, WOW,what a difference the picture quality is. Around 8:15 I tuned in to watch 1st period of the Stanley Cup finals, great I can now see everything
This morning at 11,Marcia is picking me up because I'm dog sitting my 'buddy boy',Tage for a couple of hrs. The past couple of times he was in the car, when I got in he got so excited to see me
I'll be eating in the dining room at 5:30,my weekly get together with Connie, Father Bob, Gene& Jim,perfect way to end the day

what type of TV did you get Sue ?

A home across the street is for sale but they must be remodeling as a lot of furniture and cabinets were removed and put out by the street. People were coming by and picking up items. This morning, they are all gone. I guess that is one way to get items gone you do not want anymore.

A hot day today but yesterday we had a downfall of rain like what is normal for this time of year.

Have a lovely day, everyone. :)

It's amazing the change in 6 weeks. 6 weeks ago, the banana tree's were tiny, and my carrots barely grown, nothing showing in the potato bucket or onion bucket, and of course, itty bitty tomato plants just starting to flower.
Today, banana tree's are taller than me, carrots are overflowing in the bucket, potato's are almost ready to dig up, onions are standing tall, and of course, tomato's are all over the place. Life is good. (y)

No a/c??? At all? Why not?
because in the UK it's not usual to have them.. and so the cost is prohbitive.. Much of the UK doesn't really have hot summers, exccept here in the south, we do.... and as anyone here whose been here a while will tell you, the last 5 years it's very common for me to report 90 deg temps inside my house at midnight...

ETA..of course shops and restaurants have them, but it's not affordable for most homeowners to have it...

Left: An apparently drunk driver crashed into our fence. 50 years ago my wife and I put up the fence, but now we are
too old and have to hire craftsmen to have the fence repaired. Right: Today a plumber came to install an earthquake
gas shutoff valve for $485. But (a) he brought the wrong size, and (b) he was worried the 50 year old metal gas pipe may
be erroded and brake, making the installation much more expensive. Sounds fishy to me. I better get a second opinion.

I am doing whatever I still can do, but have to increasingly hire workers for what is becoming too difficult for me.
(OK, I am 20 pounds overweight. I am struggling with it like everyone else.)
