Laundry day...went down at 5:30 a.m. but didn't finish drying the clothes until 12:00. I didn't start drying them as soon as I brought them upstairs and between phone conversations and naps, I let the clothes dry longer than necessary. Didn't have to cook again today. My son brought home a salmon dinner with roasted vegetables and rice. I started to ask him to pick something up for me, but decided not to...in case he wound up having a long day. Seems he read my mind, which has been known to happen. :) Deja's Chewy order came in yesterday, so I have to put that stuff away.

I got a surprise this evening. My HS#3, who's time for going to Amazon Fresh had passed, called me a little after 8:30 p.m. and asked if I wanted to go to Shoprite. Since I do not wear street clothes in the house (and vice versa) and my son was almost ready to go to bed (I change in the bedroom), I started to say no. But my son stayed in the studio an extra five minutes and that gave me time to get out the clothes I wanted to wear. I changed in the bathroom.

I'm glad HS invited me to go because I was going to ask my son to get a gift card for my neighbors who were my witnesses to the will signing earlier this week. But who knows when he would have wound up going. It was a nice night, having cooled down from such a hot day. We rode with the windows down and I enjoyed feeling the breeze. I got a couple more items than I intended and was happy that I caught a sale on Bromley decaf green tea again. so I got a couple more.

Sunny today..🌞🌞

I had some visitors this morning, they've just gone...and n in a little while my Gas boiler engineer will be coming... and later the gardener to finish off the hedges which he couldn't do due to the rain last weekend..

Another strom warning given out today for the weekend...so we'll see what happens, ..I'll just batten down anything that's likely to be blown away

Woke up to a text from my own phone number and it said fraud alert with a phone number that I checked on Google and it was from China, a bank that had the number repeated with a different end number and the one I received was on it. The federal trade commission online said it is a fraud and do not respond to it. It did get my attention.

Nice sunny start to the day. Rain again yesterday afternoon for a short period.

Good day wishes for everyone. :)

It's a good thing you're on the ball isn't it ?... they must catch hundreds , nay thousands of people, to make it worth their while... and they constantly change their tactics, so you must always be on the alert..

I've been gone so long (a week?), I have no idea as to where I should even start! I guarantee, I have not been idle! It has been a long and tiring week!

I normally mow on Friday but we had a real gully washer of a rain roll through about an hour ago with radar showing more on the way so it looks like I'll mow tomorrow or Sunday when it dries up.

Haven't had Asian roast duck in a while and my mouth is kinda craving it so I think we'll drive to OKC a little bit later and let mama shop and pick up a roast duck and then I'll try to sweet talk her into fixing some fried rice to go along with it for supper.

Glad it is now Friday with another music festival fun day just 30 hours away.

Yesterday picked up my old Forester from the Subaru dealer that after performing a thorough inspection I now have a nice printed out list of, found my catalytic converter requires replacement after driving with their sophisticated diagnostic connected to the car's computer. So $300 well spent but still without a SMOG certification. Will bring the result to a service that can hopefully replace the cat much more cheaply. Most of the other issues are all end of life suspension components that I can live with for a year or two more.

Carless, spent hours using our county's VTA public transportation system. Managed to lose my Senior Clipper Card out of my stuffed with papers pocket Tuesday in downtown San Jose, so yesterday had to deal with walking an extra mile plus downtown getting a new one that was just $3.

Received a shipment notification of delivery today for a replacement small portable Bissell steam cleaner. The first such publicly recalled consumer item I've ever done so with.

Much of this week, have continued my recent week's watching of multi-hour YouTube ancient history videos that has been quite enlightening towards why so many ancient civilizations have eventually returned to dust, forgotten. Primarily issues of the divisions between overlords with material wealth and political/religious power versus powerless peasants and slaves.

Was taking a nap this morning and woke up to a thumping sound in the kitchen. Turns out water was dripping from my ceiling onto a small ice tea box that was on the counter. I called my neighbor who has a ridiculously long outgoing message. Thank God, she picked up, checked and double checked before realizing that she has a leak under her sink. I've had issues with leaks and outright flooding due to problems with neighbors on top of me.

She and I are friends nonetheless. She expressed concerns about whether or not there was any damage and promised not to use the sink until the leak is fixed. I see what may be water marks in small areas on part of the ceiling and wall. Another blessing is that I caught her just before she was leaving for a doctor appointment.

She put something underneath to catch the water and the leak stopped immediately. I'm glad that water stayed on the counter and didn't leak onto the floor. I never leave my Brita pitcher on the counter, but wouldn't you know it was sitting there today! It didn't look like any water had leaked onto it, but I took it apart and washed it anyway.

I also did financial stuff and napped some more. I haven't been sleeping that well lately, so I think my body is trying to pay that sleep debt. I also spent about three and a half hours on the phone with calls from my online bestie, my Honorary Son #3 (with whom lots of business about our collaborations and upcoming plans were discussed) and my BFF.

Good morning. Had a nice day yesterday. My son/grandson came over. We went to a park overlooking river. Lovely sight. My son/grandson played tag in the playground, then my grandson went and got real wet in the sprinklers. We went to McDonald's for lunch. Came back to my home, he played with his dad's toys. Son sent me photo of name of doctor, around the corner, who is a neurologist. Will get his phone number, only his name was advertised.

I have to keep my spirits up. Supposed to rain all day. I really need to do a towels laundry, down to only 2 clean towels!

Even my garden is tired of it, and things are starting to get moldy and rotten. This is just NOT right!! In my area, the average rainfall for April and May is around 4.5 inches, each. This year, we had over 15 inches in April, and over 11 inches in may!! And it's still coming down!! 😕
