jeez Rae..I have been stung by wasps .. I've been stung by mosquitos.. but the hornet that flew up my skirt and stung me on the top of my leg is the only thing that ever made me pass out... the pain was horrific, like no pain I'd ever felt from an insect before... so I really feel for you tonight.. hopefully antihistamine cream will take the pain out soon...
@hollydolly, thank you for your concern. Yes, the hornet sting is really painful. My husband went out and sprayed the area and one was still in there. It is now dead, too. I will be more careful and watch for them.

Again, thank you for your reply, you are a very nice person on this forum. :)

Good morning…not quite daylight here. @Jules …you are right in guessing this house is a distance from where I spend most of my time. It is about 250 miles towards the north end of the state. It belongs to my guy…and where i lived untill about three years ago. He will never give the house up…but it is almost fifty miles to a grocery store and our connections to this community are less and less. So we have to do some upkeep. Major upkeep. Meanwhile…i am thinking about other problems in other areas and drinking coffee. Sure wish i could send some heat to someone…any takers?

I went out on my enclosed patio and when walking back up to the house, I felt a sting on my arm and it really hurt, so I went inside and washed it with soap and put some healing cream on it. All of a sudden I felt another sting on my finger and yelled for my husband. I told him a hornet stung me and must still be on me. He found it laying on the kitchen floor and killed it. My arm swelled up at the sting and also my finger. I put a cold pack on both of them and took an antihistamine pill. They quit stinging but still remain sore.

@Georgiagranny, a beautiful garden.:)
Ouch! Sounds painful, sorry. 🐝

Difficult couple of days. Spent them in hospital with my mom. She fell and has a knee fracture. We spent 7 hours in the emergency room until she could be admitted. All the medical staff were great, it was just a slow process.
Not sure what we are facing now in terms of her recovery. Do know they have ruled out surgery due to her age (91) and frail condition.
If she can become ambulatory again I want her back home with us. Not sure that will happen.
I, myself, am exhausted.
Oh no, poor thing! You and her. 😒

There's a glass door on my shower here, but way back in the way back when I had a shower curtain, I'd just throw it in the washer with a load of towels. Dryer on medium with the towels.
of course you would any sensible person does that...

It's been many years since I had a shower curtain, it's very old fashioned, I too have glass here... but that's what I would have done always

Thanks to my son, I am back in business with a "new" laptop and full-sized key board! He surprised me with it last night. I have good kids =D

Now if I could just figure how to get back the saved Friends of the Library minutes that went up in smoke when my other laptop died... ah well, I have a hard copy of most of them.

Thanks for sharing photos of your gorgeous garden, @Georgiagranny. Your hard work pays off in spades, so to speak.

Looking forward to another fun day with DD's family and friends, including 5 children. 🥰 Have a few chores to attend to, but nothing difficult or tedious. Expected high of 79° today. The 70s are my Goldilocks range. Not too hot, not too cold. Just right!
