How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

Sometimes I stay quiet because most of what I have to say sounds like a complaint. I need to pick up Farxiga today at a cost of $145. (30 day supply) The good news is I got some Xarelto samples so I can push that $550. cost (also 30 days) down the road a bit.

Darn. Amazon says the potassium is "out for delivery." It's 7pm. Probably won't get it today, and here I was dreaming of getting up to flowers everdamwhere in the morning. Well, okay, probably not in the morning, but the longer it takes to get the stuff, the longer it's gonna take for the buds to open up. Fooey.

This morning, I rehearsed for my karaoke "performance" on the radio broadcast tonight, so as to give my vocal chords time to rest. I loaded and ran the dishwasher, cleaned the bathroom, napped and went to HS#3's studio to get ready. I had to sip warm tea so my voice wouldn't crack! HS#3 and I talked again tonight, strategizing for the Ladies Night broadcast which I will host with hopefully at least four lady guests.

Yesterday we had rain - lots of rain - all day :( Apparently it is going to start raining very soon and will rain most of next week. I am not keen on humid, rainy weather so, have decided to cancel today, put the breadmaker on and, apart from a quick trip to the supermarket later, I will be busy doing not very much today.

Have a good day everyone. :)

Good morning, another hot humid day with heat index at 112 degrees. I thought it would rain yesterday but no rain. I had to water my gardenia plant this morning as it looked a little wilted but sprang back to life afterward. I do not have any more outdoor plants as I have always had bad luck with them but the gardenia seems to like it here.

Stay cool if you have hot weather as best you can. Have a good day everyone here.

I just finished tailoring a brand new blouse I bought at the thrift for .86¢
It was a tunic but a very long tunic to mid thigh. Not good for a short person so I shortened it to the right length tunic for me.
Since the neckline was way too low I fashioned a faux cami from the excess hem fabric. I wondered how it would look with the same fabric, but it looks great. Like it came with a matching camisole. It's a win!

@Trish and @Jules Yup. Optimizing right and left. And now that the potassium has (finally) been delivered, there's no stopping me. Wait. Yes, there is. Heat. The heat only allows for applying it to half the guara. I'll do more in the morning when it's cool(er).

My daddy was right. There are only two temps in Atlanta in the summer: hot and hotter.

Solo ride, yesterday 160 miles rt, north past Stanley on the 900. Turn around at Sunbeam Idaho, which is the confluence of the Yankee Fork of the Salmon River and the Salmon R. The 7:50 am departure was essential to be virtually traffic free ride on a very busy day in the area. Heavily dressed for safety and comfort, heated grips employed.

The view north over the Salmon River.

Today rode the 250 w a buddy over Trail Ck into the Copper Basin and the over Coral Ck Summit at 8800'. It was cloudy, winds were gusting to 25 mph, steady at 14mph, having dressed lightly I was chilled the entire ride. These are the only 2 pictures I took. It was right at 100miles, w 80 on dirt roads.

The Lost River Range, including Idaho's tallest peak at 12,664', Borah Peak.

boy, the last week + has been busy with lots to "unpack" and think through... Like I work three days then go up to visit my daughter and grands and I can 'hardly go'... no stamina, no energy... I even came home a day early and (as they say around here) 'I could sleep a month of Sundays...'

After washing my hair, I gave myself a trim and did my nails. I treated my son to Dallas BBQs (I'm told the cool people just call it BBQs) for his birthday which was on the 11th. We went to the one that opened up Mother's Day weekend in Secaucus, N.J. At least we celebrated in a timely manner this year. Last year's birthday wasn't celebrated for months (because he kept putting it off). We always enjoy it when we have time together, so he chose to have a meal together rather than get $57 for his 57th birthday.

After lunch, he treated me to ice cream from a local ice cream parlor that opened recently. After tasting it, I chose banana pudding, which I never had before. I haven't had a dish of it yet. I'll do that when I get off the computer. Here's a picture of the artwork in the entryway alcove and my son's drink, which was a virgin strawberry colada. I had the smaller sized virgin pina colada...to die for! On the way there, this massive cloud dominated the sky and looked so beautiful that I had to photograph it. The photo doesn't do it justice.
