How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

Good morning, on this Sunday, to everyone. Well, bad news about the Lotto Power Ball. I did not match even one number. Tomorrow it is 1.1 billion.

Another day with just a shower or two this afternoon.

Have a good day, everyone and hope you are all well. :)

Affternoon all.... 🌺🌺..it's an overcast and very blowy day today....

I had an hour free electricity today from my supplier... and so I got everything that needs charging..like the Shark.. and my little hand held vacs... all charged up during that period... I also put the dehumidfier on in the barn.. because we had a lot of rain yesterday....

i often batch cook or do laundry during the free periods, but my freezers are full, and the laundry was done a few days ago....

I'm getting another free hour tomorrow.. that's really unusual to have it 2 days in a row, but I'm not complaining... :D(y)

Trying to decide what shirt for the Hawaiian night. Both shirts are one of a number of similar styles. Do i go for a shirt that depicts people and scenes or one that is floral?

@horseless carriage Can I send you some of my ties to go along with your colorful shirts? Don't laugh; I mean it. I have 3 dozen.
@hollydolly You are darned right, they are from the 70ties. I still love them but get melancholic looking at them.

15 years ago, my PCP assured me that my PSA 4.1 reading was normal according to my age. But I felt uneasy about the increasing curve and requested a second opinion. That physician immediately ordered a prostate biopsy, and within three weeks I had a radical prostatectomy that saved my life. Ever since I have had regular PSA tests to check for a possible re-occurrence. I just obtained the latest result, namely 0.1 that is nothing to worry about. My friend in Germany had a prostate surgery at PSA 6.5 and is now in heaven. Physicians are great in what they can do, but you yourself are the one who is primarily responsible for your health.

This morning my wife is at a church meeting in Rancho Cucamonga. With that group, she will go on a pilgrimage to Rome in November to see the new Pope. A month ago, we discussed whether both of us should go, as we had done previously. A roundtrip from Los Angeles to Rome/Italy for around November 1st is less than $500 per person when booked now. But my PCP discouraged me. At my age, sitting for 12 hours in a tight airplane seat, can give me blood clots that could kill me. So, my younger wife is joining a group for that trip.

When we were both in 2019 the last time in Europe, I already had said farewell to my parents at their graves. Yes, I cried; as I did when a Vet put my Dobie to sleep, and I watched as my beloved pup slowly closed his eyes to play with the angels from now on.

Our gas range needed a repair, but spare parts from the O'Keefe & Merritt manufacturer are no longer available. So, my wife bought a new one at Home Depot. When they delivered it and wanted to take away our old one, they discovered that the new one cannot be hooked up because the gas valve at the wall is different. We canceled the purchase, and now I have to hire a plumber to change the gas valve before we can renew the purchase.

Left: My grandson has a new toy. I asked my son-in-low to help him taking areal pictures of our house and garden. Right: My neighbor's water pipe broke and sent a fountain over the fence to us. I went over and repaired it before the old lady realized that something had gone wrong.

Good late morning. I will be going out for lunch and buy a couple of lotto ticket for the big one tonight, 1 Billion, I won't win but what would one do with all that money? Even the one time payment is a lot of money. Oh well, I can dream and find a way to spend what I want should I be that lucky.

A cooler day today and no rain so far.

I hope you are all well and have a good day today. :)
I bought 2 tickets myself, @Rae, after nobody won again. In my state you can buy them online, so it's quite easy.

I wouldn't even want $1 billion, truth be told. If I could win enough to (1) pay off my debt, (2) replace my 20-year-old car, (3) buy a small house or a condo, (4) retire, and (5) perhaps travel a bit, I'd be fine. I wouldn't even need all of those 5 things. For example, I'd be happy to pay my monthly health care premium without getting a stomachache.

That being said, I'd better get back to work! Back before the days of ACH deposits, I always used to joke to my kids that I don't want to do any work—I just want to get checks in the mail. 😁

Great collection of 70's ties @packleader

My very kind neighbour brought me round Dinner.... ..

I don't want to sound ungrateful because I really do appreciate them... but I really wish they would tell me in advance. For example today I'd literally just put fish in the oven to cook, it had been on 10 minutes.. when they knocked the door with this meal....and also some nights altho' not today they bring it at 10pm or later... when I've already eaten... but I don't want to say anything to them because it will all sound very ungrateful

Thank you for your kind offer, very generous of you. It may sound ungrateful but I must decline your magnanimous offer, you see, not only do I have drawfuls of neck ties.

I have hanger loads as well. But the best ties are my collection of bow ties. You said: "Can I send you some of my ties to go along with your colourful shirts?" Take a look at one of those shirts:

Look down the centre where it's buttoned. Now look at the pocket. You see how the pattern all matches up?
In order for my lady to create that she inevitably has what can be described as oversized offcuts of fabric.
The fabric isn't cheap, those offcuts would be quite an expense simply thrown away. My lady uses them to
make bow ties. Look again at the shirt pattern, now look at the bow tie.

Sorry, I misunderstood KSav (see his comment below.)

Item withdrawn.

When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

@KSav Nothing was given to me; I did not wait for a lottery; I all earned it myself.
I have no idea why you directed that post to me, @packleader. If it was in response to my jokey post about the lottery and simply getting checks in the mail, please be reassured that it was, in fact, typed in jest. I myself have been working since I was 11.

I was able resume doing normal everyday things today after feeling unwell for the last couple of days. I'm grateful for that. I couldn't even go tot the studio last night for HS#3's broadcast. He said it just wasn't the same without me. Main thing I had to do today was clean up my kitchen. A good friend called me today and we were on the phone for almost an hour and 45 minutes. She texts a lot and we don't get to talk often, so we always have to play catch up. The rest of the day was SOS...T.V., games and a snooze here and there.

I didn't play Saturday's but bought a couple of tickets for Monday's drawing. I'd be fine with splitting the pot with you. ;)

Warm here — 100° for a high today and tomorrow. 😰 DH & I hit the pool at 7:30 most mornings for 30 minutes or so while the air temp is 70-ish and pool temp a perfect 90.

@packleader If you know someone who is creative and enjoys refashioning there are some great ideas on YouTube :)

I accomplished my photograph stacks yesterday. All neatly tucked into containers for each stack.
Now I have a small stack I want to make copies of that I only have one copy of Late Husband so each son
has a print of those, those singles would be hard to choose who got which.
The hard part is done and will be ready soon to give out to the family all the way down to nieces of their parents.
Mission accomplished and another Bucket List Task checked off.

Good Monday Labor day to all !!!...but don't overlabor!!! I am
silly and I know it!!!Hope all are enjoying this day in whatever form you wish..... Setting here with rain falling outside andd
extremely sore-achy joints today, will be a heat pad day for
sure....Catch you later if I can make it back on here.....

Good morning to everyone, it is nice outside with cooler temperatures. No rain for past two days so I must go water my huge gardenia plant. I have it cut down for the winter and to cover if it freezes. That sounds funny for Florida but it happens a few times in the winter.

Big drawing for Powerball tonight. I buy two tickets and like the man said at the counter where I buy them, you can't win if you don't buy a ticket. Do not need that much money but a smaller win would be okay.

Have a nice Labor Day today, everyone. :)

It's 3.45pm... the rain has just started after a sunnyish early pm...

I got a little laundry done during the freee electricity period...

I just had basically what i was wearing to wash.. because I did laundry just a few days ago but I hate to see the free electric go unused so I washed my trainers as well as the sofa throws...

It's all done now and all dried... the trainers are in the airing cupboard drying, I don't like to put them in the dryer
