I'm back from out in the {{{freezing cold}}}}}.... It's racing towards 12.30pm... I went out about 9.30am... and there was no chance the sun was strong enough to melt the ice on my car . so I had to clear it off...
I decided not to go to the river or the woods, because the wind is soooo cold, it's like raw ice...
So instead I went to the supermarket to top up the shopping until next week. ...but if I couldn't get anything much then I needed milk and fruit above all else..
The roads were fairly clear of traffic, but the supermarket was JAMMED solid of people.. I couldn't believe my eyes.. absolutely heaving..and there was more Tesco Home shoppers with their trolleys, picking for home deliveries than I've ever seen.
..ever.... they were everywhere...blocking every aisle
It' amazing to think that if that many people are at home ordering, and the store which is the Superstore was so packed... then we'd be in trouble now if there was no such thing as home deliveries...
The shelves were remarkably full of food, very often they're quite sparce at this time just after Christmas but I didn't notice that ealmost everything had very short shelf lives.. 3 days.. max 4 ...
Anyway I'm glad I did go rather than the walk.. beause now..it's really overcast... and dull...
