Good morning to everyone. It is cooler this morning at 60 degrees but will be 81 this afternoon.

I had a delivery from Walmart and received all I had ordered. A big mistake with post office as they seem to have lost a package and now the company is sending another one but will probably receive the original they say and then can keep or send back. I am wondering about the post office and their delivery of items. Most are late.

I hope all of you stay well and enjoy your day. :)
Ooh, maybe you'll get double the order!

Well l am depressed. Sonia can’t be assigned to me. Has a long time prior patient whose hours and days conflict.

Shucks. I really mean shit. 🥲
That's too bad. Maybe that will change. You never know.
@Pepper when I said you fought for yourself I meant you spoke up and let them know what was making you so unhappy. Maybe it caused them and your family some distress but I'm sure they feel better about your current situation.

Have made significant progress over the last couple days, manually html coding 2026 photography trips into my website. This Saturday morning have started the next phase of text descriptions that also requires much species reference book and web botany verifications. An interesting way I revisit past recent month trips, as photos help bring back the sequential memories of.

The current Pacific storm that began yesterday morning, is still wandering about off our coast as a cutoff low, while sending in scattered bands of showers. The main storm moves in this late afternoon, with a lull over the next few hours, that leaves an afternoon cover band concert a few miles away in San Jose still a diversion in another hour.

Today it is sunny at last, and the forecast tomorrow says 75 (24 C), yay! I'm getting ready to head out to the store and then probably take at least a short walk. I was feeling run down yesterday and this morning and spent a lot of time in bed, resting and reading. However, those deadlines don't move, so now I really have to buckle down and work.

I'm trying a French seafood recipe for dinner. 🤞 The ingredients were expensive, so I hope it turns out.

I totally fell for someone's online prank last night: Some YouTube creator posted a video of "Why I HATE Normandie," which is my favorite ship. I'm reading a book on her right now. The video was hidden behind a paywall, and I wasn't about to pay just to hear someone's rant. So I screenshotted it to my daughters with some angry-face emojis.

This morning I did another search, and a video from the same guy popped up, saying he in fact loves Normandie and that the first video was an "experiment in social tolerance." So I guess I flunked his little experiment! 🤣 I screenshotted that to my daughters, too, and we had a good laugh. I'd love to read the comments, etc., but again, I'm not going to pay for the privilege.

I heard from my online friend, whom I'd mentioned in my last post. She is alive and well, thank goodness.

I hope everyone has been well.

I didn't think of that! @Pepper
Good point!
There could , at some point, be some change in Sonia's patients, or schedules or location/ transportation needs, that might make her available for you, in the future!

I'll hang on to hoping that for you, while you cope with what you must for now.
😊🤩

Meanwhile I wondered if your son and grandson came, today.

I'm still riding the high from finding out my biopsy results weren't cancer. I was already (before the scare) trying to eat healthier, and now it seems I'm going to go a little nuts in that direction, I have all sorts of weird things on my grocery list suggested by google's AI (Gemini I guess), such as: silken tofu, tempeh, chickpea flour, ground flax seeds, etc.

I had cucumber and hummus as an afternoon snack. And I bought a book on Amazon called "How Not to Age: The Scientific Approach to Getting Healthier as You Get Older".

The cat I adopted in January is going to bankrupt me with her finicky-ness. I am offering her literally ten different bowls of dry food in an attempt to find the flavor she came with and loves (which I unfortunately had put into a container and thrown away the bag, and the previous foster family has not responded to my email asking them what it was they brought with her). I saw another potential option on Amazon, and it will arrive tomorrow.

Does this dry cat food kibble look familiar to anyone? I only have this handful of it left, I feel so bad for Patches not getting the food she loves.

I walked over to the supermarket this morning; got there about 8:30. I only needed a couple of things. I'm definitely going to start going on Saturday or Sunday mornings from now on. There is 100 times less traffic. They had the 48 oz store brand ice cream on sale. I knew I shouldn't have bought it, but a container of Neopolitan called my name. I bought white sugar for the first time in decades. I'll need it now that I'm making various sweet breads in my bread maker. Raw sugar doesn't work as well in the recipes and my son won't eat what I make if I put artificial sweeteners in it.

Before sunrise I had dry Swiffered the bathroom and kitchen floors and spot cleaned where necessary using foaming spray cleaner and paper towels. I was too lazy to use the scrubber and wet Swiffer them. This afternoon I also cleaned up the kitchen early (I'm hoping to make this my new routine), played various games on my phone, watched a couple of shows and napped. I was surprised to receive a voice mail from my GYN today because I don't think she's open on Saturdays. Good news...my mammogram and ultra sound were normal, no issues found.

Goood morning Peeps of SF..... on this bright beautiful sunny day... 🌞 🌞

We had a good time yesterday... albeit at a quieter pace. MY dd wasn't feeling too well... I don't think she was in the mood to celebrate her birthday..

It aboslutely bucketed down with rain on my drive up there and it was cold and wet.. until we left the hotel after lunch.....and then we manage to get a few photos of the beautiful village.. where the hotel is...

Whe we got to the hotel restaurant.. we were the first there, so I was able to take photos of it before any other diners came...

Oh, so nice! Too bad she wasn't feeling well but I'm sure she still enjoyed it.

The WalMart in town has a "quiet" shopping time during morning hours (8am-10am?). Never have been there during those times, though. But it's never really crowded anyway, compared to those is larger cities.
I notice in Wal-Mart that the morning music is 70s soft rock and the like. In the evening it switches to the Baby got Back style, if you know what I mean. 😀

Yesterday afternoon around 4, I walked 2 blocks to a local church where church friends/ friends& family were in attendance a birthday bash for close friend, Marcia to celebrate her upcoming 80th birthday {which is on Mon 4/13} 60's clothes was optional a few people did dress like that, music from that era was played. She didn't want any gifts A nice surprise for her& hubby Dave, older son, Dave,Jr flew up from TX for the weekend A wonderful 2 hrs for all
This morning at 6:50 temp was 40,cloudy as I strolled around the building as birds were chirping
My plans today, watch church service online, having brunch in dining room at 12:15 with, Jerry,Bill& new neighbor, Russ, talk with my brother this afternoon, read local paper. I hope to get another walk in before the rain arrives this afternoon
