It is about 4 degrees here, not too much snow on my car, and they expect a lot of sun today.
I plan on going to the pop can recycle place, have two clear plastic bags full ,that need to get there, and then over to the Town office to pay my real estate taxes and then, to get gas in the car.

Here in NY we have to fill our gas tanks ourselves and I often forget to keep my gloves on when I do that- the metal pump thing gets SO cold!

I have my 'to do' list when I get back home -but--- 'to do or Not to do'-that is the question! ;)

I find I put too much on myself sometimes. Maybe there is a RHOBH TV marathon today, and I can relax watching all those rich people ,
having a miserable time.😄

WE have had to fill our own Petrol tanks since the 1960's....

Our high is 36 deg today, and the low will be 23... currently at 1.10pm it's 36 deg but due to the wind conditions it feels like 29 F..so I'm informed by my Al friend in the corner..

This afternoon I have a Zoom meeting with Legal Eagles... I'm getting stressed thinking about it tbh.. altho' it's nothing bad for me.. it's just all very stressful.. and honestly I hate Zoom with strangers.. ... it's like an imposition in your home..especially here upstairs in my little office room/closet...

5 degrees here presently. Having my 2nd cup of coffee then taking my shower. I overslept today because I stayed up later than usual. The warmest it is supposed to get to is 15 but the sun is supposed come out. So maybe I can walk to the bank today to get some cash for my son. I have not been able to get there and I will not drive Jazzy (mobility chair) when the sidewalks are wet or snowy.

HollyDolly -I sure can relate to the ZOOM stuff.
During COVID we had ZOOM meetings with our prayer group from my church.
I had a good PC camera but people were raving for one from China at amazon, so I bought it, not realizing it would take 5 months to get here from China, during the COVID problems.

I finally got it and sent my pastor this photo after I opened it and plugged it in. One can't be too careful during COVID, with anything from CHINA.
But these were ZOOMs with people I knew well.

I was invited to a Gold Star Wives, Inc. Zoom a few weeks later and the camera does NOT work on ZOOM! They could hear me but what a surprise to me, as I only read the high star reviews at amazon.

Then I was kind of relieved-as I knew no one at the GSW ZOOM meeting.

It was 1* when I checked earlier this morning, sunny & a breeze. brrrrrrr

Took Mac out for. his. potty walk.
Was surprised that he kept his 'hat' on over his ears, till we started back to the front door.

Saw some baby booties at Dollar Tree,,,wondering if he would accept them?
They would be 'trainers' to see if he would accept dog booties.

Not sure what the day will bring but I'm not planning on going out today....not even to get my mail (it's all junk mail coming any way). I'm staying in and getting a couple things taken care of. It's a balmy 7* right now but the sun is shining. I noticed there are several deer tracks in my front yard and something has been routing around under the snow looking for food, I would imagine. Could be the squirrels that live in my huge maple tree. Hope they're keeping warm....haha.

20 degrees here at the coast but bright and sunny. Don't plan on leaving the house unless something pops up ?

Locally we srill have stations where they pump the gas. You pay a bit more per gallon but at my age I think it's well worth it.
When I first moved to Spain in 2001 all garages had pump attendants... then over time they became much more modern and most places had us pump our own fuel.. except in the villages.. a few of them still do it, and it's a joy to sit there while someone else does it....but mostly now it's self service

Morning folks....I seem to be in a new sleep pattern, bed abt 10pm, then wake for the trip about 1am, then not wake till 7am...this is taking some getting used to.....11deg here today,
that is above zero for a change...catch up later.....:)
My new routine is exactly like yours!!!
I bet you could set your clock according to when I use the

It is expected to be a bit warmer today (and maybe tomorrow?), but then right back into the deep freeze! So I guess I had better enjoy it whilst I can.

Dio is feeling much better today

! I, am not. I can't seem to get warm enough, and the inside of my head is fuzzy....worse than usual! 😉 Fortunately, I do not have a fever. At least, not yet. I don't expect to do much today.

That's it for me. I'll pop in now and again to keep up with posts, if I can. Bye!

The paint dried so fast yesterday that I was able to do the second coat in the evening. It’s probably the low humidity. Today I am going to buy new fancy knobs for the vanity and put everything back together.

The vanity looks so good. I painted it a blueish gray and it’s a light color. It was stained dark brown. I will also take a walk as it will be 50 and sunny.

I'm home. It's still cold. 26 isn't warm. At least the sun is out. It'll be a spring-like 50 tomorrow when I have a day off.

It was so cold outside this morning that for the first time ever, I wore a jacket. Imagine. That's pretty cold.

It was so cold in the store this morning that Sir marched himself over to the aisle that has odds and ends of stuff for home and car and found us a little space heater. From time to time NL and I opened the oven door and stood there in front of the heat.

They still haven’t fixed your heat? I swear your State Health and Welfare wouldn’t accept this if they knew.

Well I just had my first banking goof of '24....went to bank site
and paid the gas heat bill...then thought might as well pay next
mon's rent while I', m on here....

that I was sposed to pay rent on another paysite, not my bank, so had to
call landlord and explain it to him, he is waiting the fee's for my next 2 months,,,,,,,,really felt silly doing this....I'd just talked to
him about the new process yesterday on phone...

@Jules Yes. Our heating system has been fixed. However, we're in the South where the temps are in the teens and wind chills in the minus column. It's rare. We're part of the arctic cold sweeping the US.

The bakery is directly down the aisle from the front doors and in the middle between the front doors and the doors in the back that open to receiving where the trucks back up to the loading ramps.

There ain't no way to avoid any of it. It'll improve when the weather improves.

You aren't the first to make mistakes Hawkdon and you won't be the last, I'm sure, so don't feel bad. I've made some doozies over the last couple of years. I assume you meant your landlord is waiving the fee...if so, that's good.
