Today is pretty rubbish.

Yep - it's got me again - despite having every vaccine available.
Hopefully it won’t be anything like my 2020 dose! Well documented here so I won't go into detail again.
I feel really Ill - but no sign of it going on my chest and my O2 levels are good.

Up since 2:30 am. Pain. Discomfort.
Sorry to hear that Pepper, my wife and I are often up in the night due to the arthritis. Sometimes when it causes me to fidget involuntarily, I will go and lie down in another room just so the lady can get some rest.

Talking about the lady, I'm just waiting for her to put on the finishing touches before we head out for our second visit to the Shake & Stir Festival. Enjoy your Sunday, our weather is glorious.

Symptoms

In most cases, seasonal affective disorder symptoms appear during late fall or early winter and go away during the sunnier days of spring and summer. Less commonly, people with the opposite pattern have symptoms that begin in spring or summer. In either case, symptoms may start out mild and become more severe as the season progresses.

I've been wondering about this. The last couple of days I've felt like I had this and low and behold, it is a thing! It's just too hot to do much inside or out however, sitting and/or napping is not my thing.
DH's hormone therapy has him cold all the time in between hot flashes. We never kept our AC so high.
Well, now that I know this I feel better. 😊

Will ease into this day and must go out to bask in the intense heat. I will bring water. It will be a low key day I guess due to being up since 2:30 am once again.

This week has three very important anniversaries for me of life changing events. It's a big week. Big.
Starts out today as being one year since estranged sister died of Alzheimer's. My BIL confessed last year his influence in that estrangement.

For twenty years I worked to reconcile. Twenty years where my mind could have been set on happier things. I have only myself to blame for that. I should have accepted it, not tried so hard to change it. Look how it ended! In death is how it ended. Can't get those twenty years back, or anything back but I wasted my time mourning and trying to no avail. No avail. I was a fool.

The vaccines don't keep you from getting it, only (hopefully) from getting such a bad case that you're hospitalized or worse.

I had Covid for the second time a few months ago. It was a rough go despite vaccinations, so I completely sympathize. Fingers crossed that Mrs. Oy doesn't catch it.

I've been up since 5:30, and went straight outside, where it was a chilly 79°F/26°C!
emoticon

I wanted to wash Goober's litter box, kennel tray, and bedding clothes, before it got hot out!

The task was a joint effort, Goob played in the water, while I cleaned everything up. (did I tell you that he LOVES water?!!) In the end, we got his "things" clean, but he was a mess! I guess it's to be expected, since he was running in and out of the water from the hose, then playing in the dirt by the garden!! I did take him for a walk, thinking he would dry a bit, but he spent the whole time either climbing trees or batting various nuts and twigs. So, still filthy....but he had a great time! 😂🙃😅

Now, I'm in, and having my cuppa. The rest of the day is still an unknown.

I just realized that lunch is less than an hour away. I guess I has better finish my breakfast! LOL

Nooooooooo !! Not again....!! you were sooo ill last time...:eek:

I've done nothing today... I really have to print out more..*sigh* documents for his lawyers.. to "prove'' I can't work a full time job... but you know I cannot be arsed.. I'm up to here 🫡 with it all...

I've got a meeting with my lawyer on Tuesday morning.. and I have horrible feeling it's going to result in her asking for more money... £3k has been mentioned recently..just to continue with this case. Honestly I am so tired of being put in the position again where I'm having to defend myself , when I did nothing wrong....and worse have to pay to prove it.. just to get what's rightly mine.. ..so today I am just doing nothing, I'll do all of that tomorrow.

In the meantime, I've got several bags of Donations waiting to go to the Charity shop..

@-Oy- Sorry you've got it again, but with luck, it'll be a mild case. I had it last year in August despite all the vaccines and boosters but was only really miserable and achy one day.

@Trila A cat that actually likes water? Hmmm. Are you sure he's a cat?

@hollydolly Fingers crossed that you get some satisfaction from this whole miserable mess. By satisfaction, I mean m-o-n-e-y, enough to cover what you've had to spend and then a bundle more.

It's hot. Remember I told y'all that before I went to work? Yup. It's hot.

I've been in the garden watering and deadheading and stuff. Finally planted the daisies. Yay me. There's more to do tomorrow, but I can do it earlier when it's cooler.

Guess who didn't show up yesterday? Nope. Not there. She must have called because yesterday afternoon Sir packaged the cookies she made on Friday.

Guess what we ran out of? Chocolate chip cookies. Apparently she bakes whatever is easiest to get down from the shelf in the freezer. Chocolate chip cookies are our biggest seller. Correction: they were our biggest seller. They aren't anymore because she doesn't bake them. Maybe she just doesn't like to bake chocolate chip cookies? I dunno. No rhyme or reason to anything she does.

Nothing on my agenda for the rest of the day. I'm just gonna stay inside where it's cool and watch murder shows.

Thank you, @Jules
and all of you, for your caring (and always welcoming) words for me.

Recovery goes so slowly sometimes, that it's difficult to be certain what direction it is headed!
I'm sure that others here, can relate.
The bolstering from each of you, does help to encourage, for sure.

Haven't made it out of p.j.'s today,
but I did very tiny things for DH, self, and for kitty.

Thankfully, I count those teensy little things accomplished, even while I wish I was able to do bigger ones.

The garden does not ever learn to tend itself, :sneaky:
However, it is watering itself well, on this few rainy days in a row!
☺️

Sounds like me telling hubby that the rabbits ate the squash leaves.

I'll fix the problem was his answer.

He bought some plastic fencing & put it around the squash .

If its the deer,, its not going to stop them.
He didn't fence in the back & deer will walk up the slope to have a fest.
And I think the rabbits can low crawl under the fencing.

Time will tell.

We used to have a cat who would play with the water in his dish, then lick his paw to get a drink.

Goober was hopping and playing in the stream from the hose...go figure!!!😅🙃😂

According to the weathernerds, "today will be cooler than yesterday." It's 98.

Damn rabbits. First they ate all the blooms off the portulaca. Now they've gnawed the sedum down to the ground. It's clear to me that we're going to have a CTJ meeting:mad:
This young lady has been helping herself to cucumbers, leaves and all, and some of my impatiens. She, the bunny, and the squirrels are waiting for the blueberries to get ripe. We had tomato volunteers come up way in the back. She's says they're hers.20240622_202823.jpg

Hello, all.
I am still not recovered from my overdone week, of multiple medical appointments, and hurting myself on a piece of our furniture, in between.

So I am doing next to nothing, today, just nursing my symptoms, and hoping for a better day.

I saw some wild birds out the window, yesterday and today, which I always love to see.
Quite a few cardinals, this week. All of their family members attend the feeder near the window.

DH managed to make a big pot of pea soup. I'm limited in what I am able to eat, so yes, we make soup, year-round.

We have the small a/c unit, partly for that reason;
because we do need to cook warm soft foods, for both of us, at this point in our lives. Regardless of the weather or the season.

I'm busy patting the cat (love having her) and checking on some posts.
Saying hello to all of you, here!
I'm sorry to hear that you have been having a rough time. I'm glad you stopped in, it's always good to hear from you.

I love your positive outlook!
