I'm exhausted. Expecting delivery of gift to self between 10am-1pm. Beautiful day, cool, sunny. Hope I have strength to go out today. If not, I'll just bask in yesterday. Since I'm having a big day tomorrow, too, as I did yesterday, maybe I can teach myself to relax?
 

Morning folks!! It is gray outside right now, apparently rained
overnite, but I didn't hear any storms..prob get some more rain today....I've got laundry to do today, that's about it....a friend stopped by yesterday with home made soup, veggie, for me..
chatted for awhile, otherwise no biggie plans for me....so y'all

Today is rather overcast, wind is blowing.
Mac had his first walk & I think he wants another one.

Hubby still in the garage cleaning mood.
He's started taking stuff from the house garage to the storage trailers.

Maybe I'll ask him to put the treadmill outside with a For Sale sign on it?

A robin has been trying to build a nest in the house garage.
Think its the same one who had a nest in with my new flowers, pot. :mad:

My god...so happy to know you are ok... those poor people....

I know what's that like, I had a tornado tear off the roof of my house in Spain... it was terrifying...
 
Well just got off the phone to my Legal rep... she has now decided to be proactive.. after weeks of watching while HIS lawyers try to spin Ballcocks around me...

She's now taken over and is addressing them directly.. and demanding answers to many questions that have been given to me over the months which are clearly deceptive


She's just read out the mail she's sending to them, a copy of which she will upload to the portal for my records.. and from now on she will deal with them directly . She's fed up to the back teeth with the obvious lies and deceptions.. and his lawyers not even picking him up on those which are clearly deceptive.., the last straw being where on his bank statements he's spending money like water on incidental things..booze..hotels/ airbnb's, flights, .. Amazon shopping, .. take-away food.. day after day after day, month after month.., yet professing poverty and an inability to pay what is by law a 50 % share of assets.. .. ..when as she says in the letter.. her client can't afford to run the heating..


*Phew* relief....

After a grocery run to a nearby Kroger (not the one where I work because I'm too sick!) and getting more of the garden cleaned up and watered, I'm in for the day.

We may make a trip to Lowe's this afternoon for potting soil. Or not.

It's 84 and feels like 91? Summer. Why can't we have Camelot weather?

@hollydolly Good news from your legal eagle. Maybe she can shake loose some $$.

@moviequeen1 Ahhh...60 sounds sooo good! Alas, it's just a dream here for a few more months.

ooh I wouldn't go that far yet Trila,,, but at least it's taken a lot of pressure off my shoulders.... however my lawyer has now said that this will be the beginning of a very bumpy ride...


She doesn't know my history, I've been through more bumpy rides in my life than the Space mountain at Disney... I'll ride this one out just as much as all the rest.. and hope at the end I get a prize this time.. (y)

Must be hard to go through so much treatment . Have they told you the treatments will get more uncomfortable or is this second one just a one off in that sense.?

I hope you can get through this without too much more Trauma, you're very brave. 🤗
 
Hm. My schedule next week is 4-9 on Sunday, regular Monday and Thursday off, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday 4-8. Sir either grew a pair and told Cookie she had to work on the 4th or is going to work himself. I can only see my own hours online and won't see the department schedule until tomorrow morning.

Except for Sunday, it looks like they expect 5 hours work in 4 hours again. They're gonna get 4 hours work in 4 hours.

Supper is Cheerios with blueberries, strawberries, raspberries.

It's 93 with a feels-like temp of 102. Holy cow.
 
My son and I had appointments at our glaucoma specialist this morning. The doctor even sees us at the same time now. It's good in that he can hear what's going on with my vision and me with his. Now that his glaucoma is better managed, we will continue to get joint appointments, which works out great. I no longer have to worry about taking an Uber. I used to have to go across the street to the bank to order my ride home because both Lyft and Uber drivers always wound up going to the wrong building in the dual medical complex.

Our doctor was pleased with both of our exams. She's a cute little lady...very dedicated and personable. Before COVID, we always greeted each other with a hug. I credit her with saving my vision. My visual field has remained the same for years, so that's good. I have blind spots at the bottom of both eyes but it's amazing that with both eyes open, it's hardly noticeable.

After I got home, I made half a PBnJ sandwich, ate a little bit of ice cream and took a nap. Upon arising, I've been working on catching up with forum posts. Now I'm going to load the dishwasher, scoop the litterbox before getting the garbage ready for my son to set out, have a snack and watch more TV.

Last night we had a storm followed by a three hour power outage. At least it cooled things off a bit. It had hit 100 the day before breaking all records. I sat in the car charging my phone but it was a slow process.
The power came back on at 11:30 which meant I missed all prime time TV. Probably a good thing.

Today a housemate brought his sister's French bulldog here for an extended stay. I agreed to the arrangement and hope I won't be sorry.
