Happiness is:
having some 24/7 loyal companions who give you their unconditional love. In my experience, dogs appreciate security (sleeping under
or next to my bed,) predictability (they love routines,) and closeness to their pack leader. The guy on the left wants to become #1 and
that causes some friction. The left guy is trying to convince me that he is the strongest, most loyal, and most obedient of the pack to
gain my support in climbing up in the pecking order. But the center guy will always be my #1.
Left My older daughter, who works in China, is home on vacation. She is renting a Toyota Corolla that is cheaper than taking her 2008
Toyota Yaris out of the mothball and having it re-registered and insured for a year.
Right We have visited my daughter in China several times and have currently a valid ten-year visa. Because of Covid, we went the last
time in 2017. Now my wife wants to go again. For planning, I like best
www.google.com/travel because it gives a price history, whether
it is a good time to book now, or to keep waiting for the prices to dip again. Chinese airlines are tricky: they give you the best price the
first time you check and then it goes up and up. But if you wait 24 hours, then the price is back to square one.
I don't like inter-continental flights. For me it's a kind of a torture. Non-stop Los Angeles to Hong Kong flying against the wind takes
about 16 hours; coming back and catching the jet stream it's maybe 3 hours shorter.

Our Silk Tree is in full bloom. But termites invaded it, and the tree will eventually die. There is a bee in the right flower drinking nectar.
A year ago, my wife bought two chicks. One turned out to be a rooster, and she gave it away and bought two more chicks. The hen didn't
like it and was mean to the newcomers. But after a few weeks, everything is peaceful, and we are expecting soon an abundance of eggs.
