Good morning, boys and girls. Here's hoping it's dry where needed, rainy where needed, warmer where needed, cooler where needed and that we all have whatever is needed to have a good day. Does that cover everything? LOL

I must have had a bad dream last night because I woke up around 2 and was depressed. Hm. Went back to sleep and woke up at 6 just like a regular day.

I like @hawkdon's idea of doing nothing but there's a speedwell that's in a spot where it can't be seen and needs to be transplanted. It's been aggravating me ever since it started blooming about a month ago. Gotta get that done before the heat/humidity get started in earnest. The lawn needs to be mowed, too, but it won't be dry enough before noonish, so no escaping the heat then. At least the lawn is small and will only take about 10 minutes.

If DD goes out for anything, I'm gonna sweet talk her into taking me to the garden center to get some flower seeds. I read online yesterday that it's not too late here to start zinnias from seed. They're part of the plan I have in my head for next year's garden so why not try them out now?

Other than those things, there's nothing on the agenda today. What y'all doing?

It's very hot again today...during the night it was a horrible experience trying to sleep. I did put the tower fan on, but the noise keeps me awake so I had to keep turning it off..

Little bit more of a breeze today.. currently now at 12.30pm it's 87 deg in my garden...

My back hurts after chopping the trees yesterday. Holding that long heavy Tree branch chopper while standing on the very top of stepladders really does do a number on my back..it's like getting whiplash on my lumber region...

Anyway apparently the storms won't arrive until tomorrow.. so really I should go and start clearing out the shed ready to take stuff to the recycle, but I think I need to give my back a little rest

Pulled it a couple of weeks ago doing yard work so I've got to have a steroid shot in my shoulder this morning....had one in my hand on the 16th for trigger finger in my left hand ring finger, it still pops up but not as painful so I reckon the shot has helped some.
I wish we could just get steroid injections when we ask... instead we have a long drawn out process... takes months

On my early walk at 6:40, temp was 73 as I walked around complex
This afternoon, around 4:30 I'll be walking back to old apt complex,{3 blocks away} where our annual summer party will take place in our community garden in the back.Every body is invited, most do bring something to share
This will be my chance to see most of the Tudor PLaza residents, meet a couple new people who have moved in since I left in May.I hope to ask a couple of friends who haven't seen my new apt if they can come to lunch next week or whenever they can
This will be the highlight of my day

I can't tell you hot hot I am..I've just spent an hour in the back garden trimming the tops of the hedges before the rains tomorrow. Everything looks lovely out there now but Oh My 🥵🥵🥵... I have a sleeveless loose dress on.... I had a hat on.... factor 30 on me... within 5 minutes the spf had been washed off my face... ..

I've cleared everything away.. it's all looking really neat...

I think I might have had intruders in my garden.

At the back of my Barn..I have a Scarifier . It's completely wrapped up in Tarp.. .. and sits on top of a big garden storage box .

I go behind that barn all the time, never noticed anything amiss.. but today I saw that the lead from the Scarifier was stretched across the lawn and the plug end under the Laurel trees as tho' someone had unwrapped the tarp and pulled out the lead to see what was in there.

The Plastic box which sits on top of the scarifier just as an extra protection from rain.. was also off.. 🤔

Check-up appointment with my Kaiser Permanente doctor of 15 years I haven't seen in the last 3 years. July had the highest ever average temperatures across most of Northern California, however today is forecast to just reach lower 80Fs. So am going to take a break from image processing and get outside for some street fun later.

Downsized for web focus stack and stitch blended image (6600x6000 pixels full size) I worked last Friday backpacking 5 days with bro J in Hoover Wilderness. This is at 9400 feet so still some snow patches. Was camped a third of a mile away. Yes, we enjoyed two large rice and fresh trout dinners as these lakes have fish. An example of how one does not need to be wealthy to enjoy the best of life. Another couple backpacks next week.

Just got off phone with investigator from AccessARide. She called me. That's never happened before, they usually do their thing without your knowing. She was friendly, polite, asked all the right questions in a professional manner. She gave suggestions re: future rides, which I will be taking again, this Friday & Saturday. Oy vay, now I'm shaking again from reliving the crazed event!

I tried to get a psychic reading from Facebook. I wandered into dangerous territory. There were predators lurking. One contacted me and said she would do a reading for me. I spent some of yestereday and today with her. Texting back and forth. I had an alter thrown together, and then she said to put all my cash on the alter. I then warned her that if profit was the motive, not well-being, I will exit.

Eventually that led to her basically admitting her game. It would be donations/offerings for her selfless sevice to me. Maybe some people fall for that stuff. I got out and have blocked her from texting me. I wanted to see how they tried to scam you. I still have no pictures of myself that are usable, or any vital info. I know that I am playing with fire, but I have to be doing something fun.

Just gorgeous!

I did enjoy the USFL football this season. The NFL grabs up most of the USFL great Talents.
The NFL has become boring for me to watch. The last few minutes of the game are enough ! They
kick off, then go to commercial, catching a replay has become jawing practice.

I'm wondering if maybe it's the Salery contracts, especially the commentators are something that's wrong, it's an estimation
and will most all sports go to pay per view too.

Holy Toledo, it's hot out there! Mowed the lawn, then checked the temp. Had I known before I started... It's 88 and feels like 101. That's kinda hot. But the lawn has been mowed. It's Wednesday, and if I'm lucky, it won't need to be done again until Saturday.

Now I'm gonna cool off in front of the TV, play solitaire and watch murder shows.

@hollydolly and @Georgiagranny, you need to mow the way I did when I could still do it. I would get the water hose and soak myself, starting with my head. The neighbors would laugh but then I caught doing the same thing. I would do this a few times doing the yard, kept me cool and made the hard work easier. I knew I would be taking a shower when I was done so getting my hair wet was not a big deal.
David777,, picture of the lake makes me want to wade in it.
Was it very deep?

I miss traveling with our son & seeing lakes , mountains.@
@David777 , knock their socks off, post some pics of Lake Tahoe, most beautiful place I have ever seen. That was the place that hubby and I wanted to be for retirement, but the Lord had other ideas, So, here I sit, alone in our Texas home. I still think it is the most beautiful place I have ever seen, and it was Winter. I hope to get there again in spring or summer!!

Anyone is free to use for their personal use, any images I post on the Internet.

The downsized image on Postimages dot com is only 2000 pixels wide. By IM , tell me your exact computer device screen dimensions and I'll provide one for an good screen filling match. One could go into Settings, however for personal amusement as an old computer guy, I like to make people use the MS Windows cmd prompt haha. So open a cmd.exe window and type in the below:

wmic path Win32_VideoController get VideoModeDescription,CurrentVerticalResolution,CurrentHorizontalResolution /format:value

Since I know some of you are suffering from summer heat, here is another downsized for web image (6000x4000 full size) of a small, cold whitewater stream at 9300 feet surrounded by wildflowers.

@Sliverfox >>> Was it very deep?

Not by this cove shore. However most Sierra Nevada lakes are of glacial origin, so can be quite deep.

@Blessed >>> knock their socks off, post some pics of Lake Tahoe, most beautiful place I have ever seen...

Heavenly Resort (at Lake Tahoe) is my ski season pass resort). So here is one from ski slopes in 2021:
