Moles?

One of the clerks at farm supply store told us to us wood ash.

Son later said lime would also work.

We had starlings feeding on our lawn all summer.
Wondered what they were after,, looked it up online.
Turns out they were after grubs!

I did try the wood ash as we were burning wood that year.

Later noticed that mole holes were in the neighbor's yard,,not in ours.

It's DD's last day before she flies home. She was insistent that she wanted a final trip to the beach, so off we went and fortunately the tide was out. After a morning walking on he sand, looking in rock pools and playing in the children's playground, we naturally we finished up with an ice cream. It will be strangely quiet when she goes - until Christmas.

Feeling better than past few weeks. Been having a lot of pain in my right shoulder so made an appointment with my ortho dr and got a cortisone shot in my shoulder. Starting to feel better already, Was keeping me up nights and very uncomfortable.

Dew point in 70’s and temp in high 80’s so I am hunkering down inside. Did a small project on our clothes drier rewiring and replacing vent pipe. 3 hours or so left on my siding project. Maybe later tonight.

I don’t know how folks in Florida handle this type of heat and humidity!

I have prob with left eye, maybe double vision or something...
it is 106F deg now, 112 heat index, there is just no need for this kinda heat!!!! otherwise just been lazy again today.....

I am close to the same feeling today. First thing that happened at 4:30am was I heard water running in our basement. I had flushed the toilet and found water gushing out of the drain pipes. I had no idea how this was happening and water was collecting on the floor quickly. When Misa woke up we went outside to cleanout the entry to our septic tank. We use a hose with a pressure bulb and stick it into the cleanout. We were lucky, it unclogged in about 15 minutes.

I have been sick with a flare up of the colitis I have. I have been struggling with that most of the day. It is so hot outside it's nuts!! so many weird things are happening today, I can easily get in a bad mood, and have. Some days are really tough. So far we have made it to the other side of them to see tomorrow. I hope you begin feeling better.

For any of you who are both frugal and bone tired this Aldi find might just fit the bill. It is a pork tenderloin just over a pound and a half. It is generously pre-seasoned with garlic and lemon and under 5 dollars. It is accompanied by their multi-colored tiny potatoes. I had it last night and again tonight. Thought it was worth sharing. I served it with green beans.
