Just got finished raking for three hours. Perfect weather. 56°. No mosquitoes, no gnats.
I was thinking about the houses @hollydolly posted with no yards, no trees and decided I wouldn't complain about the yard work.
I do one section at a time.

I had said that I was binge watching 'This is Us' and loving it. Well, the second season has become a non stop barrage of memorable moments, touching scenes, meaningful monologues, I love you, I love you, I love you! 🤔 I know this season builds to the main event of the series. Is it me? Can someone only take so much?
I guess I'm just an old grouch.

A couple of high protein breakfast ideas without having to eat a large volume of food would be canned sardines (even just one on toast or crackers or even on it's own). Another idea if you're not into sardines would be to spread a little cream cheese on a biscuit or cracker and top it with a slice of smoked salmon.

Sardines & salmon are high in protein as well as other vitamins.
I like both of those ideas.

....just a drive-by post to wish everyone a happy Coosday!

It's another do nothing day, and I'm running out of time to finish it!

I need to get supper started (Pesto Fish), so off I go!

~I had an eye appointment this morning to find out what is going on with my left eye. More about that here:
I Have Conjunctival Concretions In My Eye. Ever Had Or Heard Of This?
~Swiffered the floors & readied the garbage for my son to take to the dumpster when he got in from work.

~Studio time tonight. We will be working on two songs.
After my two day ordeal, when we're done in the studio, I just want to relax and watch T.V.

Today was mainly a day to help a friend. He's transforming an undeveloped outdoor shed into a shop for handyman & woodworking projects. Having previously wired a couple of shop buildings, I'd offered to help him, and he took me up on it. The space was unheated, but our local temps have come up. We made progress with the wiring and had a good time talking while doing it.

Also, here at home we have an outdoor solar powered motion-sensing light that hasn't seemed to work reliably. So I took it down and have been fiddling with it... maybe it will come back to life ???

My wife & I are not feeling ambitious in the culinary department, so it's store-bought frozen lasagne for supper this evening.

Yesterday was so busy. Watched a movie my friend recommended, Good Grief. Then had about 4 phone calls to make. Went to a mini class on mindfulness. I almost fell asleep during it more than once. Did an errand that was on the calendar.

My goals for the day are to deal with one pesky matter for "work", and run 2 miles. The rest of the day is open to whatever transpires.

Morning folks....34F here this morning, had some mixed precip
at 10pm last eve, but nothing shows on the ground...up too
early for my liking but oh well...no big plans, getting my
hairs all cut off this evening...funny when I tried to call the
barber shop I got an advertisement instead, sorta like a
spam deal, offering free visa cards or something, found out
the company had taken the barber's phone number away
and they had to get a new one....strange..ah well...have a
great DAY all !!!! :)

I need to decide if I am going to call the Dentist. One of my bottom front teeth might be infected and need to be pulled. It has been hurting for a few days. It has done this before, and fixed itself. This time it seems like there might be an infection. I do not like taking antibiotics being already prone to constipation. I put it off yesterday, but it is hurting some this morning. I don't know...maybe flip a coin? :)

I ,more than half- way, accomplished something yesterday, by re- arranging my pantry-and still have a few things to do there.
We all stock up on provisions where I live, but we are never really housebound due to weather for more than two days at a time.
I hate doing this job every year but I tried to make it fun, and it gives me a good idea of what dry goods and canned goods I have, and what I really do not need to buy , unless there is a good sale.

Today I will do the wash and then get back to the pantry job. Then I can cross it off, on my "To Do" list! :D

Can you run 2 miles for me while you're at it please 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

This morning I will be making a couple batches of Keto Chow (keto replacement shakes) to put in the freezer for ice cream later in the week. Making some other prep meals for the near future but have not decided what yet. We had some snow so not going to be going outside today. For now just having my morning coffee. Have a great day everyone!

I've ordered a top-up of heating oil (Kerosene) which should be here in good time. Unfortunately many rural properties don't have mains gas, so we rely on oil or LPG. The oil boiler has a high pressure pump that blows a fine spray of oil and air into a combustion chamber and this heats water that supplies the radiators. The boiler therefore uses both oil and a small amount of electricity. Gas boilers usually have fan assisted combustion and circulating pumps which also use a small amount of electricity.
I grew up in homes with oil heat, hot radiators that would sometimes drip water or rust. Never had any idea how the systems worked, and to be honest didn't care enough to ask because I was a kid at the time.

When I moved to CA at 17, no more oil burners. Forced air with electric or, most commonly and as I have now: natural gas. The only thought I ever gave to oil heat was when visiting friends/relatives on the east coast in cold weather, and could smell the oil burning and see those occasional little black wisps in the air.

Thank you for explaining how oil heat and radiator systems work.

DH & I watched "This is Us" at the urging of friends. By that time it had already been on six years and was in the middle of its final season. We binged it on Netflix or wherever it was showing.

While I kind of liked it, by the end of the second season I was eager to be done with it already. For DH & me it was like an overlong book. 800 pages that would have been better at 350. Not as bad as "Lost" but...

To be fair, a lot of people loved every minute of "This is Us" so YMMV.
