Need fresh vegetables from Farmers Market. There are hardly any stands at this time of year. We’re having company for lunch on Monday so I have to obsess over the menu. I like to make things that I wouldn’t ordinarily. Decided on pumpkin cheesecake vs chocolate eclair cake. I’ll look for a fresh pumpkin.

clearly stating the obvious here..but can't you borrow a car ,and go by yourself ?
DD won't allow it even though I have a license and am insured:mad: And I've never been in an accident that was caused by me and never gotten a ticket. Got a warning once. It was my 40th birthday and only seven miles over the limit; the cop only wrote a warning and wished me a happy birthday.
Ahh, yes, Ranger >insert swoon here<

Farmer's market, garden centers. I only bought some plant food at the garden center. I was going to pay for five dianthus, but DD paid. Fine! I wanted snapdragons, but my choices were either pink or pink, or in the event that I didn't want pink, I could choose pink. Guess it'll be another week or so before they're available.

We were only gone two hours, but it was positively blissful to be in the car and not have to listen to a constant running commentary on FB posts or on which friend broke up with her BF or which BF is cheating on which other friend and going out with friend A or friend B or where what friend is planning a destination wedding in a place too expensive for any of their friends to attend (then being insulted because the RSVPs are coming in and being declined).

You could have them drop you off at a shopping center or walkable stores and pick you up later?

I got home from the grocery store, having stocked up on perishables, and started to put stuff in the refrigerator, then realized: the refrig is as empty as it’s ever going to be, clean it before you fill it! So now I have a nice shiny/clean refrig again 😊

Son helped me fill in application for FEMA assistance

Saw Ed and his daughter off to her house in N Carolina (eastern part, not where all the devastation is) as he still has no electricity or H2O. He has some minor damage to his roof and his wooded yard looks like a battlefield after the war. So although I’ll miss him, it’s best that he’s going

what's FEMA assistance , CS?

Same here but they tell you to drink plenty of fluids so what can you do?
Sounds like a nice day despite those loud boys.
I feel for you with that bathroom thing Hearlady. It can really put a damper on things when traveling or just being out and about. One of my cardiologists told me I need to drink more fluids for the sake of my chambers. I've been taking Farxiga (5 mg...can't do 10) because it's supposed to control blood sugars and also help with renal function. Farxiga also makes ya pee a lot. I did not take it yesterday morning. Don't need the issue to be any more pressing than it already is.

It was a nice day (despite). It's always a nice day for me when I can get near a large body of water and around nature.

As if! They'd be miffed that I prefer to be alone.

DGD decided she feels better enough to go to Five Below and Pop Shelf to get Hallowe'en decorations for the guy who's supposed to be her exBF. Supposed to be? Yeah. This week. That could change (and probably will) at any moment.

Anyway, they invited me. I declined with polite thanks. In Greta Garbo's words, "I vahnt to be alonnnne."

Hello to all of you.
I read some of the back posts with some of your updates, but I was starting to get tired,
so I thought I'd better leave a note here now, just in case I have to nod off.

Today I was very determined to sort thru some papers and odds and ends, with the goal of having much fewer of them, and the leftover ones in neater (and smaller) stacks. ;)

I guess I actually succeeded, this time. I'd tried many times, but hadn't. There's a small sense of accomplishment from that, even though there's so much more to do. Everything in the apartment has been backsliding for a long time.

I've been doing a little 'adult coloring' recently, to unwind, and it does help to relax me, though I can't do much of it, at one sitting.

Yesterday I tended dear kitty's ears and fingers and toes, and fur coat. She sure did need it. I usually cannot manage to do them all at once, so that was a big accomplishment, for yesterday.

I got new eyeglasses recently. Was tired of my usual brown tortoise-shell, so I wanted blue frames for a change, this time. Couldn't find any that seemed right, so got purple instead. :sneaky:

I can barely recognize myself.:ROFLMAO:

Finished meal prepping for dinner tomorrow with DGS and the baby!

The baby chair that was supposed to be delivered from Amazon today did not arrive and I was pissed. Called customer service and told them I got an email from them stating my address was incomplete, which is a lie!

The driver either cannot read or wanted to quit early. I never had a problem before. Well, they promised tomorrow before noon. 🤞

Good for you @Kaila, getting so much done! And Kitty too. Sleep well. 🌹

Laundry day. I went down shortly after 1:30 a.m. and did a load of light clothes, mostly bath linens, then did some financial stuff . Around 8:45 I went to the Amazon hub (again) to pick up my Totes rain poncho, which I'm taking with me. I'm too through with that hub. For the third time, they had boxes of merchandise covering the lockers and I had to wait for someone to come move them. I intend to start using the one that my son says gives ya 14 days to pick up the packages, as opposed to only 3 like the one I can walk to. It's located in a nearby town and he wouldn't mind picking up my packages for me.

I also popped into the supermarket to get an item I forgot to get yesterday. Of course I picked up a couple of Friendly's mini sundaes too. For the second time. Victor who works there, gave me a cart so I didn't have to struggle to get one loose. With a smile, he offered help me with my groceries if needed. I thanked him, but I didn't need help. He's a cutie with a mustache, beard and shoulder length wavy hair.

I did some light chores, vacuumed the dryer as best I could using the Lint Lizard attachment, rotated Deja's stock and readied more laundry (dark clothes) for when I get back. I just woke up from a nap and It's almost midnight. I still have to wet Swiffer the kitchen and bathroom floors which doesn't take much time.

I also want to play with Deja using her string toy and/or her little motorized car, since she won't be seeing me for a few days. It feels good to have finished all the packing stuff early, including making sure my purse has everything I'll need when on the road. I put things I'll take in my insulated bag in a zip bag, for quick, easy access. I also laid out my clothes, (pre-tied scarf) and jewelry so I'm won't have to look for stuff in the morning.

I am worried about this new hurricane forming in the Gulf of Mexico called Milton that is supposed to come straight at us as a Cat. 3 on Wednesday. I am not looking forward to this week. Rain is supposed to start today from another depression preceding Milton.
Fortunately, it does not look as it will go over to my daughter's city.
Floridian friends, please be safe.
