Brought in the geranium, washed it off with soapy spray and clear water. Took a good sized cutting and placed in water. Will take more when flowers are done. It's in the living room now... not very light, but it's the only place. Hope to save the potted rosemary somehow. Maybe I'll put them upstairs in the south bedroom window.

Brushed doggie and trimmed the hair around her eyes. Next month, we go to the groomer and also to the salon for my own haircut.

Cold this morning in the 30's. Brought out the ugly fleece robe. 64F in the house. Put the heat on to 67F, first time this season.

Our street is clean because I am the only one who actually *walks* it with my pups and habitually picks up all the trash.

Left: Coming home from our daily walk: tic tac toe three in a row. We planted these Eucalyptus trees ourselves when 6 inches tall.
Right: Having 3 dogs is expensive; they eat 1/2 a bucket a day. But as long as my wife is working full-time, they are my dear buddies.

It's been a very mixed day. The play was quite entertaining, the pint of cider -the alcoholic variety - was very good, but the pie was awful. They were out of meat pies, so it was a macaroni pie. This is just so WRONG in so many ways, and for those who don't know what it is, you're lucky. It is truly the most ghastly 'meal' to come out of Scotland.

The bus ride back was uncomfortable, but that was just the start. When we arrived back, I tried to get some cash from and ATM, but I couldn't remember my PIN I've had this card for years and suddenly I just couldn't remember the number. It took ages to get through to the customer support, but they arranged a new pin to be sent. Back home, I tried to to use my other bank account on line, but it wouldn't work. I eventually got it working and I suspect it was a mix of finger trouble, a sticky keyboard and very slow response from the bank site.

Banking has worked pretty well for years and I just don't know why it all went wrong today.

just not your day today by the sounds of it..(n)

That Macaroni pie did it come in the same type of pastry as Mutton pies ?..I've seen those in the freezer shop... I really like mutton pies.. but those Macarioni Pies.. much as I like mac & Cheese, those M&C pies are an abomination... I wouldn't want to even try one...

I got burnt once. Now I keep mine written down in code using letters for digits with an extra fake prefix and suffix letter.

Yes, same case as mutton pie but filled with mac and cheese. Ghastly.

It's the last night that the grands are here. I'm beat! 😊 They are good children and we had a very nice day out at a historical eighteen hundreds farm. The weather was perfectly autumn.
Since they are home schooled they can be with us on the weekdays and everywhere we went we had the place to ourselves.
I'll be sad when they leave tomorrow but children need to live with younger people! 🤗
