Enjoy your weekend @David777 I love going to local events and am lucky enough to have several markets where they regularly have free events, great buskers and international food halls. Do you take a camera with you? I do sometimes but, other times, it is just nice to enjoy the day.
Not if it is a festival I expect to be dancing at since I dislike awkward stuff in my pockets. Weather forecast is ideal sunny, calm 70Fs. Some day at a street fair, ought to do so with my a6700 and kit lens zoom given cloudy overcast weather allowing far better even diffuse lighting.

Saw one of my sons and his wife for dinner last night. It's always so nice to spend time with them. TGS is coming tomorrow morning through late Sunday afternoon, so will see other son & DIL during drop off and pick up of his sweet boy, and then will likely see DD and her family on Sunday.

Will catch up on the MLB playoffs today that I missed yesterday, manage a little laundry and mostly putter about the house.

Sounds fun. Best to enjoy the day and not take anything you don't need. I am sure you have posted photos in past, I seem to remember you are pretty skilled with photography.

No I don't wash my hair every day, Trish..... I wash it twice a week... i have argan oil and I find even the tiniest bit makes it greasy... For some reason given that's it's so fine, my hair need a lot of conditioning, so a combined S&C isn't good enough unfortunately... a hairdresser recently said to me not to put conditioner on my hair at all.. in fact no-one needs conditioner.. this is what she told me.. and I had to tell her I couldn't get a comb through my hair if I didn't condition it.. and that's fact.. I rarely use a hairdryer, preferring let it dry naturally.. but I do very occasionally use straighteners.. and then only a low heat

If at home alone for days, I don't wash my ear lobe length hair and often just brush it back compactly. But if out socially in crowds, often shampoo that day with Garnier Fructis Pure Clean, a purifying shampoo that removes all oils etc. Then after blow drying, it leaves my already thin, light brown hair, super light floating with much electrostatic repulsion so it spreads out wildly. Admittedly not to look more attractive but rather unique within crowds of others.

I’m sitting outside in the cool breeze, trying to stay awake. I woke up at 0415, worked from 8:30 to 1:30. I Drank coffee with lunch and have a new mystery to read so maybe that will keep my attention.

If all else fails, I can get the rake out and attend to some of the leaves in the yard 🍁🍂🍃

This Sunday (Oct 20th) is the volunteer recognition luncheon. Home delivered meals drivers and other volunteers of the agency are given a complimentary meal. Always two choices - a chicken or vegan dish. This year it's pesto chicken and eggplant rollatini. A few years ago, a fish entree was also available, but for some reason they discontinued that. Cutting corners everywhere. I have yet to win a door prize in the 13 years I've been attending. It also makes me wonder why it is always on Sunday. I'd prefer it on Saturday.

Today Friday, is my fifth and last day quietly at home before this weekend's nearby major street art/food/music festival. Have spent much of this week looking at my computer monitor watching Hossenfelder and Petrov science explanation videos. Would rather be reading from actual paper so am looking forward to receiving an Amazon ordered used anthropology book that might arrive any day.

Yesterday, vocally read out loud Ezekiel chapters 9 through 18, a strange book from ~600BC with a very angry and vengeful supposed god. A book along with a few other violent one's I am still wondering about what is possibly actually spirit inspired directly and what is more likely, just some human claiming it is from god for the sake of more credibility for political/religion agendas.

Ezekiel like much of the Bible is difficult to read silently, much less out loud lucidly with many tongue twisters. So was also a good excuse to exercise my throat vocal muscles since as a retired person living alone. I occasionally go through periods of days to weeks without actually speaking much to others. I found out years ago if I don't talk so at length periodically, that my vocal motor control centers degenerate losing clear pronunciation even though my silent visually reading skills remain fine. Not surprising since brain motor controls for all body muscles are neural plasticity based.

Also just set up a KP doctor's appointment for the end of this month because I might be experiencing subtle neuropathy in my left foot. A depressing possibility if true since so much I enjoy most is based on movement. Possibly from low level shingles issues since I don't have diabetes that is a much more common cause.
You know, I thought I was getting sick last night while my grandchildren were here. Funny, they weren't or had been sick. Anyway, I was fine this morning. I think I'm not used to talking and singing and calling out loud much these days.
I had recently been thinking that is why older people's voices get weak.
We all need to use our voices more!

The only reason I would cut that beautiful hair is if it was just becoming hard to take care off. It is a gift that not that many ladies have when we get older!

Returned from our road trip yesterday late afternoon. Two days driving there, three coming back because we wanted to stop at a Costco (in Alberta, right near the Rocky Mountains). We unloaded our traveling gear and some of what we'd bought at Costco and elsewhere, then settled back into our house. Our MaineCoon cat was extremely glad to have us back.

Got a good sleep last night, and then started washing dishes and containers we'd brought with us on the trip. After that, I changed the house's water filter, laundered some clothes, and made many trips to the car to bring in food & household items we'd come back with. DW phoned some of her women friends, and then started processing chicken. I put items away in our cold-room/pantry. Also tuned up the snowblower & got it in good shape for the winter months, then brought to the carport near the house.

About shampoo/condition: try using No More Tangles baby shampoo. It eliminates the need for conditioner and makes hair easy to comb through.
I actually bught a baby shampoo that promised the same thing..I bought it in 2 bottles because it was on special offer... that was 3 years ago and I still have them.. I don't know what to do with them, they were absolutely useless at stopping my hair tangling..
