Morning everyone!!! Been up since 4am, blahh, too early...oh well, it is only 44 outside, may get to 75 later today....have no
idea what I'm up to today....social worker was here yesterday
and chatted a bit, specially about my falls...LOL...told her I
could give lessons about falling, but not about getting back
up LOL....my icon pic is of my cat Beau that went to the rainbow
bridge some time back, miss him,,,,.....Later gang..... ;) :coffee:

This afternoon Library Book Club Personal Librarian is the book. I'll have to zip through it this morning as I kind of forgot the story, due to ending the book early and starting to read one of my own selections to fill up the time, Stephen King stories, so I feel more immersed in that. I'll have to shake off King and get my mind back on track. I like the people in the Club, I go to hear them speak. They are all so smart & interesting to listen to, I like being around them.

Nothing much else to do, woke up feeling 'blah'..... low energy. Changed bedding yesterday to winter blankets and was so warm & cozy had to force myself to wake up.

I was going to ask you about your avatar.

😢 They are so hard to lose! I'm glad that Beau still lives on, in your heart. He sure was a handsome lad!

afternoon folkies....Glorious sunny afternoon now after a very foggy start...

I had probably the worst nightmare I can remember having last night .. and i have had some doozies...

This one was about a member of my family going on the attack of one of my sisters, but I couldn't be sure in the dream which one of the sisters, because they all seemed to meld into one person, and I was trying to get her into hiding, but despite my desperate pleadings not to open curtains , and keep doors locked, she was not following instructions, and I knew in my heart that he was going to find her again, and kill her this time..😩... but anyway.. it was absolutely horrendous, and it went on most of the night.. the adrenalin was surging through my body like a waterfall.. my heart was pumping so hard it was a wonder I didn't have a heart attack...seriously...

I forced myself awake, got up had a cold drink, and went back to bed straight back into the nightmare...:eek:

It left me when I got up with a feeling like I'd been in a fight..like someone had battered me around the head..and I've just had to take a co-codomol a few minutes ago, to try and ease the very real headache which wouldn't go away

How very strange is that ?... It's worrying me because I tend to have dreams which forecast things...

@hollydolly Google meaning of dreams?

Wow. It's a very chilly morning. I turn off my heat before going to bed so it's pretty nippy in here when I get up. However...since I did laundry yesterday, I got to wear my Ladies Loungewear (with pockets) last night. (Sorry @hearlady:()

I've just been out to water the mums and water the plants on DD's patio and in front of the house. Brrr!

We were going to vote this morning before DGD's doc appointment, but she was in such bad shape yesterday and last night that it was out of the question.

It took DD and DSIL both just to get her out of her bed this morning, and DD had to dress her. Glad she has doc appointment this morning because doc hasn't seen her when she's all but immobilized. I'm thinking she'll get sent to ER again.

@Trila Wish I'd seen your post earlier. I'd have been there for coffee...no car, but don't forget that I have a brand new broom🧹

It's 6.45 am here, still dark I haven't even opened the blinds to see what the weather is doing, I can't hear any rain tho'.... I've got to go this morning to have my hair cut, not sure still whether to just have it trimmed or cut short..
The difficulty is they are student hairdressers albeit supervised by a Qualified hair stylist...but she's overseeing a dozen students at a time, so she can't just watch mine continuously...

I do always opt for level 3 students rather than first year.. so they have some experience under their belt... but I'm not sure a restyle is entirely within their capabilities...

I'll decide when I get there....
@hollydolly some medications can cause thinning hair.

Do you wash your hair daily or every other day and/or use heated hair products often? I now leave my hair 4 days between washing, mostly only use a hairdryer and have started using a combined shampoo/conditioner. Argan oil on the ends (not the root) helps too. My hair is definitely in much better condition now. (y)

I usually keep my hair at just about shoulder length - long enough to put up and short enough not to feel too long. I think the length of your hair in the photo you posted earlier suits you.

Today Friday, is my fifth and last day quietly at home before this weekend's nearby major street art/food/music festival. Have spent much of this week looking at my computer monitor watching Hossenfelder and Petrov science explanation videos. Would rather be reading from actual paper so am looking forward to receiving an Amazon ordered used anthropology book that might arrive any day.

Yesterday, vocally read out loud Ezekiel chapters 9 through 18, a strange book from ~600BC with a very angry and vengeful supposed god. A book along with a few other violent one's I am still wondering about what is possibly actually spirit inspired directly and what is more likely, just some human claiming it is from god for the sake of more credibility for political/religion agendas.

Ezekiel like much of the Bible is difficult to read silently, much less out loud lucidly with many tongue twisters. So was also a good excuse to exercise my throat vocal muscles since as a retired person living alone. I occasionally go through periods of days to weeks without actually speaking much to others. I found out years ago if I don't talk so at length periodically, that my vocal motor control centers degenerate losing clear pronunciation even though my silent visually reading skills remain fine. Not surprising since brain motor controls for all body muscles are neural plasticity based.

Also just set up a KP doctor's appointment for the end of this month because I might be experiencing subtle neuropathy in my left foot. A depressing possibility if true since so much I enjoy most is based on movement. Possibly from low level shingles issues since I don't have diabetes that is a much more common cause.

Life is pretty hectic at the moment so I am not finding much time to relax and go online. Today though, has been an easier day so, here I am. :)

Got home later than planned and haven't done as much as I had hoped but, it's nice to just catch up. I hope you are all well (y)

Enjoy your weekend @David777 I love going to local events and am lucky enough to have several markets where they regularly have free events, great buskers and international food halls. Do you take a camera with you? I do sometimes but, other times, it is just nice to enjoy the day.

No I don't wash my hair every day, Trish..... I wash it wice a week... i have argan oil and I find even the tiniest bit makes it greasy... For some reason given that's it's so fine, my hair need a lot of conditioning, so a combined S&C isn't good enough unfortunately... a hairdresser recently said to me not to put conditioner on my hair at all.. in fact no-one needs conditioner.. this is what she told me.. and I had to tell her I couldn't get a comb through my hair if I didn't condition it.. and that's fact..

I rarely use a hairdryer, preferring let it dry naturally.. but I do very occasionally use straightners.. and then only a low heat

This is my hair over a period of the last 18 months

Your hair looks in lovely condition and you seem to being doing all the right things. Like you, if I didn't use conditioner or something similar, my hair would be too tangled. I was surprised that the all in one shampoo/conditioner worked well for me.

I think you have posted that you take vitamins etc so, stress is probably the most likely cause. Hope all works out well and you can relax soon.

thank you, I hope so too....

Four of us met up in the local park this morning for some Tai Chi practice - then I hung around on the prom to photograph some sea birds at high tide. Big freelance job tomorrow so some prep at home this afternoon.
